Resveratrol is said to have a pretty big range of benefits. It's a strong antioxidant and helps with weight loss, blood pressure, blood sugar (insulin sensitivity), blood clotting, age-related deterioration and possibly even cancer. The preferred form of it is trans-resveratrol, but it's unclear how much of that you're getting from this supplement.That is, according to the internet, and some of those are very good sources (NIH.gov). However, some of these sources point out that there's potential downsides of resveratrol, such as being a pro-oxidant in some cases, and because it affects blood coagulation some care should be taken if you have a related disorder (or medications). Prior to this, I've only been on an assortment of pomegranate-based drinks and an assortment of different vitamins, daily. Then I also have some allergic issues to the dermis. My skin, since I turned 35, has been much easier to get a rash or irrigation redness. For that, between my doctor and I, I've been under a daily dosage of Zirtec, and at times, added benedryl to suppress some of the itch and rash I may get. Now, I've only taken this for a few days, and instead of realizing any anti-aging result, I'm here to firstly report that my allergic reactions are largely suppressed. I've gone without 2 days without any of the anti-histamin products now. And all I'm taking is this Resveratrol, daily. I do feel much more energetic, but that could also be due to some good sleep I've had these days. And I think I'll keep this going and after the whole bottle, I'll come back and report on this as an update. For now, so far so good.
