RANKED #2 ON NATIONAL BEST KITTY FOOD LIST!!! NO MORE VOMITING :)
Our 1.5 year old charcoal grey tuxedo is a recent rescue, she had multiple infections skin/ear. Even after getting them under control, she would have dry patches and would throw up her food several times a week. On the contrast, we have a 4 year old Siamese rescue, but I've had him since he was 3 weeks old, he's very healthy, so I know what my baby's skin/nails/nose is supposed to look like. Monthly vet trips for our little girl and no one can tell us why she's throwing up her food (we or dry grain-free) all the time. One vet told me she had lupus and prescribed multiple prescriptions including fish oil, the combination of smelly and fruity??? medicines were damaging our relationship because I had to wrap her in a towel and force it into her mouth with a syringe. She's discriminating little lady and will not go near anything that doesn't smell the way she wants it to. We switched her to a new vet who told us that she DOESN'T have lupus, gave her an antibiotic shot and her skin/pads cleared up and have been pink since, so he got an A for that! However, I asked the vet about the throwing up and her scaly nose and he said that wasn't uncommon with kitties, and her brand of food was fine. EVERYDAY?!!! Ugh no dude!!! So, he got a F on that and I took my search to Google to talk to other kitty parents with the same issue. I found a listing of the best feline foods and this brand was #2 on the list! What got my attention was the comments on vomiting. Clicked to Amazon and was delighted to see it was available for Prime shipping, started weaning both babies the next day. Addison vomited the first day, but that was all! After about 2 weeks of weaning, they were on Weruva exclusively, this was 1.5 months ago and she hasn't thrown up since!!! Not only that, she LOVES this food, they both do! Adi NEVER chirped (she doesn't meow, its sooo cute!) for food before! When its time to eat, our Siamese does all the excited pre-chow conversating and Adi would just wait quietly on her perch at the cat tree, she would nibble a little and then get back down, and return to it later. NOW.....she's super vocal and tries to get up on the kitchen table while we're making their bowls and she doesn't walk away from her food until it ALL gone!!! Huge difference, now our Siamese can't steal bites from her bowl LOL!!! For the kitty parents that say this food is expensive...its $1.09/per can!!! Even if you order from the Dollar menu at Wendy's, you're paying more than that for lunch/dinner, why would our babies be worth less than that???!!! I'm not judging you, just say'n the numbers out loud!I've recommended and gifted this brand to multiple kitty parent friends/co-workers and would highly recommend it to anyone! And by the way, the scaly dry nose is now soft and moist, our little girl is happy and more healthy now, I couldn't be more pleased!!!

Worked for constipated cat
I have a senior cat, sometimes he gets constipated (probably due to him napping more and grooming less). So I really have keep on top of his diet and adjust it accordingly. I found this to be tops to peek his appetite and also to move the poops without issue.Highly recommend.I make sure that he has his variety of foods and this is in his weekly routine now.

Good Quality But Hit or Miss with Spoiled Cat
Weruva is one of the best cat food brands on the market and great biz -- but the flavor profiles are a hit/miss. Funk in the Trunk is a Meh -- though Spoiled Creature will eat about 1/2 can. She much prefers the Weruva tuna. Won't buy this one again.

My picky cat is OBSESSED
please never stop making this flavor. I have tried getting my cat to try so many different kinds/flavors of wet food. As soon as I pull the can out she won’t stop meowing until she gets some. She lives for this food seriously. And I love that it has pumpkin in it because there are a lot of good health benefits.

Not a favorite of my guys!
Some blends or flavors my cats love, this was an oddity that they wouldn’t touch, something turned them off to it and I donated it to a rescue. Rescues do have many more cats than the average household so they almost always have someone who loves it! I don’t know if this was the one that claimed extra hydration but that one was also in a blue can and texture was just very unappealing to any of my cats. They do eat only canned foods it’s so much better for them.

Both Cats LOVE This Food
Our cats are on a grain-free dry food and the Weruva Funk in the Trunk is a supplementary treat for them. In the past, they developed digestive issues with every canned food we tried. Maybe it was the carrageenan present in the other foods. Can't say for certain. But not a single sign of any problems with the Weruva (for over a year).I like the ingredients listed. The chicken is obviously human food grade. White meat, and sometimes large sections that I cut before serving to the cats, because one of my finicky felines seems to prefer veggies and won't eat large pieces of meat. She licks every bit of the "gravy" off and leaves chicken in the bowl (which the next cat is happy to clean up).The cats exhibit more energy, and their coats are shinier and softer since getting this food every two or three days. Some people note their cats don't drink enough water (and need it from wet food). Wet food is great to add moisture to their diet. But our cats run to the water bowl every time we dump, rinse, and fill it with filtered water from the Brita pitcher. What I really wanted was something that I could easily mix cranberry extract into for the cats (to prevent crystals/UTIs) that they'd gobble up, so I could stop giving them the water I drain off tins of tuna (and possibly exposing them to mercury). This does it.I selected this particular brand over another grain-free canned food [Halo's Spots Stew] due to another reviewer's caution that that one contained carrageenan, which is NOT SAFE for humans or pets to eat, and then went on to mention the Weruva brand has NO CARRAGEENAN.It's a little pricey, but keeps the cats healthier and happier. I add cranberry to their daily diet since our female had a severe UTI back in 2010. It came on so fast, we had no idea she was sick until she was lethargic and could barely walk. Had to rush her to the E.R. Thankfully she survived. The tab for that visit ran $1200. The Weruva and added cranberry is worth it.
