It's mostly for children to play with. **Q: Would this be ok for a 6 year old thats juzt getting into playing music** A: Hi, I think so. I bought mine for my autistic grandson. He loved it, playing along to any music he could. The siver coating eventually started chipping off, but not before he had had many hours of fun with it. I think you might get fed up before your 6 year old, but fun. **Q: What is the difference between this model and the bontempi sx4331/n saxophone? which one would you recommend for my 4 year old?** A: Hi I cannot answer your question on the difference as only purchased this model. I also purchased for my 4 year old and can tell you that she loves it. **Q: Does it sound like a saxophone and do the others sound like a trumpet and clarinet?** A: I really enjoyed playing with it.
