If the highest memory supported is 2600Mhz why buy ram with higher speeds?

Now this memory has a built-in "XMP Profile" (Google this), that you can set on your BIOS to automatically overclock to 3200mhz

These 8th Gen processors will not work on z270, z170 or any 100 series or 200 series LGA 1151 board. Usually you just had to match socket types but in reality you need to research the specs of your motherboard to find the CPU upgrade list. This will tell you what CPU is compatible with your motherboard. In some cases you might have to update the BIOS/UEFI in order to ensure compatibility.
