You guys suck!
My favourite disc is the added extra disc with a bootleg quality, which is apparently the last gig this band ever played.Terry, John and Eddie are tight as band get at the end of your. John's voice is going. His bass is distorted and loud in the mix. Little Terry Ted, the cute little drummer, is soo good that you know these are live drums played with passion and skill. Eddie improvised, shock horror and the CS80 and Mini's sound majestic. The Moog Taurus toward the end of Danger Money give me chills everytime I listen to it...So why the one star? Well... I paid £170 for a Amazon returns copy. The original purchaser obviously let their dog eat the box. Thankfully the discs are unscathed. The booklet is full of big pictures and gormless double spaced text. The album's are here. The extras are inaccurately labelled and not very good. I also would have preferred some Steve Wilson type individual album's with a nice booklet. Something like Jethro Tull's A which has just been released...What really bugs me is the quality of the Reunion Blu Ray. Shockingly bad. Marco sounds like he is locked up n a large cardboard box somewhere. The rest of the band sound harsh and hissy...Don't buy if you are a casual poseur. Do buy if you bought the eponymous album age 13 and an obsessed weirdo such as yours truly!(P.S. Title of review is what some drunk American yeehaw shouts at the Bruford/Holdsworth lineup live in some hellhole and recorded for posterity by FM radio. No wonder they left the band subsequently.)

A must for a UK fan and if you don't ...
A must for a UK fan and if you don't buy now, for sure you'll pay the exorbitant resale/auction prices set by online sellers in a close future.

A dream come true for UK nuts
A dream come true for UK nuts like me. Just one complaint: the discs come housed in non practical cardboard sheets that may damage the discs when slipped out or in. The sound, the booklet, the pictures are great. Thanks Eddie! An adecuate farewell to the late john Wetton and Alan Holdsworth. I specially liked te extended version of Night after night (minus the solo spots).

What it says on box- Ultimate Collection
This is a must for fans of both incarnations of UK, an ultimate collector's item. The box features 18 discs, top quality remastered versions of their studio albums and live concerts. Also interesting discs of their takes pre-vocals and treatments. The collection also contains two interviews, with comments still pertinent today as well as a superb booklet with never -seen-before photos. Music is great, musicianship amazing and production fantastic.

Magnificent box
After a week of listening to the content of the magnificent box I'd like to briefly share my impressions:1. Packaging was done with great care so it was safe and at the same time easy to open. I suppose I can even store the box in this packaging at home.2. The book is beautiful and quite informative.3. The disc holders - the only disappointing thing, but, according the official information from Eddie Jobson, their design has been changed for the current version which is on sale now.4. Discs - overall sound quality: GREAT!!! The main albums (UK, DM and NAN) sound fantastic! I just didn't want to stop playing them! Useless to talk about formal aspects of sound, as it's a real hi-fi without any modern compression (often used to make sound "friendly" to portable mp3 players). The more important aspect is that there's an involvement in listening once I start playing the music! Great job has been done! The sound of most of "bootleg" recordings is also great. Especially Philadelphia concert! The rest of them are ok.A must-have item in any progressive rock lover's collection!

It might well be a wonderful package for completists with a fat wallet
It might well be a wonderful package for completists with a fat wallet, but where are the individual albums at a reasonable price? I wouldn't mind paying £15 or even £20 for them, but £33? This is just a tacky rip-off. I wonder what input the ex-band members had?

The Ultimate U.K. and the only thing you'll need to cover everything they did!
I may be a bit biased because this was my first concert EVER, BUT WHAT A CONCERT!!!! It was U.K. MkII (Jobson, Wetton and Bozzio) almost at the end of their first stint back in the 70's, They literally turned me into a prog "head". This box is the culmination of both line ups, which are quite different in spite of being the "same band"; which in a way is very good thing because with only 2 studio LPs and one Live LP, they managed to cover a lot of ground. You know the story (if you don't, look it up!); they were "the last great prog supergroup". with two thirds of the last King Crimson lineup-plus one of the most innovative guitarists, Allan Holdsworth, and a young genius/virtuoso (which I only can count with the fingers of one hand!) at the keyboards and violin, it was overlooked , and still is. This box includes ALL of their "official" output, plus a reunion gig in 2011 and, as a bonus, three shows from the Mk I lineup. They all come in CD format AND on Hi Resolution 96/24 stereo for the studio LPs and an EXTENDED version of the live album in GLORIOUS Surround mixed by none other than Mister Bob Clearmountain and Eddie Jobson (you also get the original version on CD, just in case!).Eddie Jobson struggled for almost two years to get this Box Set out-it was offered to early pledgers for half the price, but you had to be on your toes to join in AND Eddie himself wasn't even sure what the whole package would consist of, so it was a gamble. Finally, this gorgeous box set with a lovely full color booklet was released, and whadayaknow??? IT SOLD OUT REALLY FAST!!!! The demand was definitely not the one expected so, for you lucky fans who missed out on the first time, there is a second pressing announced as of January 2017.Now, for those of you complaining "oh, but it's sooooo expensive!!!", let's count here: EIGHTEEN DISCS in total (that would be roughly 10 GBP per disc- not considering the fact that 96/24 Stereo BluRays are twice that price if bought separately, let alone a Stereo AND Surround one), including Hi Resolution Stereo Blu Rays in 96/24 of the first two Studio LPs, PLUS another 96/24 audio Blu Ray of the extended "Night after Night" (this one is a doooozy, since it has almost the whole concert in Stereo AND Surround...wait til you hear the BASS PEDALS on "Danger Money" live, it'll give your subwoofer a nice workout!!). You also get a Stereo 96/24 Blu Ray of the Reunion show. For fans, this is is Heaven sent because , the first LP always sounded "dark" to me, be it on LP or CD. Here, it shines."Danger Money" was a bit better sounding, but, unless you got an expensive Japanese pressing, it still did not do the group justice. The Live LP sounded much better, but it was a SINGLE LP, and you always felt like you were left hanging, knowing there was more to this than one LP.Also, please take into account that the 2 studio albums and the Live album were released as SACDs in Japan a few years ago, BUT they were not sourced from the first generation tapes or real masters-THIS is the real thing. Besides, 96/24 BluRay discs are a much more superior format than SACDs, which have this ultrasonic noise above 35K because of the format limitations- try and play an SACD in a hi end system with your cat in the room and I'll guarantee your cat will scram ASAP!!!As a personal observation, there are now several companies that are reissuing Quadraphonic mixes from the 70's for more than $50 USD PER DISC!!!!I would have gladly paid 50 GBP (or more!) for ONLY the extended Live Surround mix, which I can't stress how really incredible it is.Please support the ARTISTS and their dedication, you will not be let down in any way when you get this. Save your pennies and you'll have it all for the rest of your life on REAL discs.(and , BTW, would you really agree with someone who posts a "one star" review and does not even own the product?...I wouldn't...)
