Perfect replacement at a great price
My 2011 (early) MacBook Pro battery was showing that it needed servicing. Rather than wait for it to start failing, as it had still been working as well as when I bought the MacBook new, I chose to replace the battery. This battery is a perfect replacement and at a great price. It arrived within a few days and was easy to fit as it came with the two screwdrivers that are needed. Job was done within about 15 minutes and it had about 45% power so I set it to charge and it's been working as it should for since I installed it a few days ago. Highly recommended.

3rd party batteries can be a gamble, check warranty and return details!
The battery fitted no problem, looks just like the original. Sadly the battery life was soon useless so I tried to return it after a few months. This is where I have a problem, there is no ‘return’ option and I’ve tried to make contact with the seller with no success. Take care buying batteries from Market place sellers. There seems to be little protection if it turns out to be a dud! I’m waiting to see if Amazon can intervene.

Very good. Very straightforward to fit with supplied tools.

This is a lot cheaper than getting a battery fitted by Apple at about £130. Don't forget to buy correct Apple screwdriver kit
This is a lot cheaper than getting a battery fitted by Apple at about £130. It works and is relatively easy to install if you have the correct screwdriver kit. Once in place I now get about 7 hours battery life. A new Apple battery last about 8 to 10 hours. One thing I would advise is that you purchase the correct shaped screwdrivers otherwise you will knacker the screws on your Mac. On Amazon you can purchase a set for about £5 or less. Type in ---- Set 3 Pentalobe Apple Star ScrewdriversOnce you take the back off and manage to disconnect the battery, your warranty is void as there is a seal on the battery. However I would imaging that if your battery is past it, then you are also out of warranty. There is a fiddly connection to disconnect but other than that its straightforward and you don't need any technical knowledge to do it.

Bargain Battery Bonanza!
My mid 2012 MacBook Pro has been fabulous - I love everything about it. But for the last six months or so, it's been running a little 'hot' - and the battery life has significantly deteriorated. When I got a notification saying that my battery needed attention, I put two and two together... and reckoned I needed to do something. One of the most difficult things was actually working out WHICH battery I had - which precise model of MacBook Pro... The last thing I wanted was to put the wrong battery in and fry the motherboard or something equally catastrophic!TOP TIP - look on the underside of your laptop: you will find the serial number and the model number for your machine. So I found the precise battery...but different websites were offering them at anywhere between £30 and £60! Of course, the 'Apple Snob' in me thought that the more expensive one would have to be better.No.I found this on Amazon and took a punt.It came, next day and I started to install - which is a very straightforward process. Remove the 10 screws from the back, two special screws holding the battery in (appropriate screwdrivers included), disconnect the battery connector, lift the old battery out and Bob's yer uncle. Reverse the process to put the new one in.New battery needs 'conditioning' to some extent - charging, discharging a few times to get it to its best.So far, the laptop is running cool, consequently the fan isn't on all the time and we're getting some sensible battery life.Works great. Recommended. If you're unsure about installing the battery yourself, check out some of the Youtube videos available.Save yourself A LOT of wonga!

Sudden loss of power around 10%
Install was easy, no problems with tools supplied. Initially all went well, I conditioned the battery (full charge + more and then allow to go totally flat and then charge again.) All was working well until the last few weeks which is about 2-3 months after purchase when at about 10% give or take 1% the battery would suddenly give up just before I'd had chance to plug in the charger. My Macbook Pro would just switch off and when it was recharged, restarted and plugged in would need a time/date reset. Apart from this I get about 3 to 4 hours constant use or all day with occasional use, just make you charge it before it get below about 12%!!

Very disappointing.
Bought this in July 2017The battery held it's charge reasonably well for the first few weeks, but rapidly went down hill soon afterwards. It's now the end of Nov, and the battery doesn't last much more than an hour, and that's just using the laptop for web browsing and emails.Mostly permanently plugged into the mains these days.Wouldn't buy again.

Second item worked fine! Perfect replacement if you know what you’re doing
Only issue was that the first item I received didn’t seem to work properly. Second item worked fine! Perfect replacement if you know what you’re doing, easy job!
