I was also drawn to the rugged aspect of it as sometimes I travel with it. Installation was straightforward, drivers were easy to get. I can't speak to the included software as I already have software I prefer to use (Reaper), but I had no issues getting the unit configured and working with my setup and getting right to work. I use Windows 10 64 bit and have never had issues with recognition or connection to either of my computers. Right now it’s good and stable on Windows 11. I believe for Mac it is class compliant and doesn’t require drivers. So in theory it would work forever on a Mac. On windows, not so sure. Time will tell. But for now it’s great!
