Thoroughly recommend
I've had mine (8GB memory, 1TB HD, 12GB SDD) a couple of weeks. It came with Ubuntu 17.04. So far I've (1) upgraded that to 17.10, with /home on half the HD, and set up my usual environment; (2) installed Windows 10 on the other half of the HD (at my partner's insistence), and updated. I experienced no great trouble, although I don't know ubuntu very well, or windows at all. It was just a matter of googling. (Worst issue was getting a bluetooth dongle to play nicely in Windows, solved by using the USB 2.0 port for the dongle.)I've not opened the case yet, though I've been in the AMI bios quite a bit, and probed what I can about the hardware. I can't find out anything about the HDMI version supported by the port (a not properly answered question on this Amazon page), although when (just after unboxing) I tried it out with my elderly LG telly, the desktop seemed larger than the LG would display. It's a lovely little box. It reminds me of my main box (a late 2012 maxed-out Mac mini), though the eggsnow's (subjectively) a bit slower. The mini has a fan, which sometimes roars into action. The eggsnow is fanless, and I wouldn't like to drive it too hard -- say with DAW software. It would, I judge, probably cope with the software I use for my work, if not my (music-oriented) play.It arrived about a week after ordering it. I did email a (completely stupid) question to the suppliers, who didn't respond. I'm not sure I'd have responded myself. BTW, one can find out a reasonable amount about the box by googling a Chinese company called Inctel.I thoroughly recommend the box. I may well, after investigation, buy another, lower-spec'd version myself, to take care of various background chores on my household network, or run kodi. For me, linux-friendliness is a major plus.

Great kit, great price, great service
I'm really impressed with this the product, price, delivery time, and customer service.I've been running Linux Mint Maya on a 6-year-old box. Support for Maya ends next April, and I decided to treat myself. Mint was still running OK, but I thought that if I'm going to have to do a fresh installation of the OS (no upgrade path from 13 - 18), I might as well upgrade the hardware too. And no SSD means slow startup times, so the box is on more than it should be. I bought the i7 with 128 GB SSD, and 1 TB HDD, with Ubuntu installed.* It arrived - from China - just 6 days after I ordered it!* Ubuntu was installed - as requested - and the box booted without any problems from the SSD.* The HDD was not partitioned or formatted, and I could not do this because the password for the user account was not supplied. I didn't want to do a fresh installation until I knew that the HDD was OK. I tried booting from a USB stick, but couldn't format it that way either, so I emailed and asked for the password. They replied overnight, and I was able to partition, format and mount the drive OK.* I installed Mint 18, wiping the existing Ubuntu. It was blisteringly fast - from a USB 3 live ISO it installed in minutes. The SSD has / ; the HDD has /home.* It arrived 2 days ago, so there are some things I haven't tested yet - sound, for example - but I'm really impressed.Edit: sound works. No integral bluetooth adapter, but that's easily solved by a USB adapter. I see some comments say bluetooth works; I guess it depends on the spec you go for. I checked with Topbestsource, who again replied by return.

Silent but deadly
So far so good...had it for a few weeks now and everything is great. Very easy to use, fast and best of all (for the living room) totally silent. One slight potential hiccup was windows virus protection alerting to a piece of malware - a quick bit of research showed otherwise. It was in fact a helpful trick to keep this version of windows running.Thankfully I didn't delete it and end up having to purchase a new operating system.Very happy with this product!

I think this is very good value for money and ideal for anyone just wanting ...
Small and very quiet and fits unobtrusively in the corner. It booted up faultlessly and quickly given the SSD drive. I've already tested a number of drives and other devices on the USB, HDMI, ethernet ports and there are no problems to report. I think this is very good value for money and ideal for anyone just wanting a 'functional' piece of kit without the bells and whistles but with considerable capability.

Be aware of what you're getting.
A lot of machine in a small space...but.....1) Windows 10 Pro appears to be installed but unlicenced.2) It's a completely default install, US English only. It would be nice, when sending to the UK, if they had a Windows image with UK English preloaded,3) My promised driver USB drive was missing.
