History Timeline: British History (Historia Timelines)

I bought this to help with a primary school project and we found it so useful I bought all the others as well. They really captured my children's interest with their excellently displayed pictures and pithy details. It's nice for them to be able to visualise the 'flow' of time. I gave a copy to the school - it's now up in the classroom!

I bought this for my daughter to help with her studies. She was delighted with the timeline and often refers to it as it is pinned to her wall. The illustrations are good and help put events in context. Altogether a very good buy.

This is fabulous! I bought this for my hospital ward and the children and parents love it. It is very colourful and hard-wearing with an attractive glossy finish. It is very informative and I have just bought the British one too. 5 stars.

Love this. Can consult everyday to learn something new about history. It is massive though so I ordered 2 poster hangers from a store retail display website and put 2 hangers top and bottom. Is displayed in dining room.

The facts that accompany the dates and pictures are very basic but hopefully enough to spark an interest in discovering more. The layout is a little muddled; events are banded into centuries but within the band they not in chronological order. It is not all that easy for younger kids to follow what happened next. Some things are downright confusing, a photo of Hitler above the heading - 1947 India gains independence from Britain.

I like the way events are laid out, it is clear and easy-to-read. It is quite long though, so you will need a good amount of wall to display it. Recommended.

Both parents and kids loved this timeline. In fact they thought it was such a great way to learn they framed it on the kids' bedroom wall. I wish I had had such help when I was a child.

The poster itself is ok and my 10 year old boy is relatively happy with it. It is well laid out but perhaps a bit too long, making it difficult to find a suitable wall space. My main gripe is the price for the item itself and the delivery cost. The poster is £9.99 which is enough to buy a good history book for children. With postage added on, it ended up costing over £13.00! That is a big charge for mailing a cardboard tube. The natural reaction to this would be "why did you buy it then?" My answer is "I didn't buy it, my wife did"; I just received the email from the vendors suggesting I should leave a review along with their claim about 'great value'.
