Apartment door** A: I would say no, it needs to be drilled/screwed into a solid door. That is why I had to return it, our closet doors are hollow. I would assume a metal door is also hollow, or at least tough to drive a screw into. **Q: Would this work to stop or slow down a door swinging saloon style door? One door will be locked stationary, while the other will be the main gate.** A: Probably would work but the swing door may bounce slightly when the magnets pass each other. **Q: Are these black or stainless steel in color?** A: Stainless steel **Q: The product details says they are silver but in the photo they are black. Which is it?** A: Mine are black. Not sure what the other sellers are. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just the job *by M***N on 9 June 2026* Bought these to hold shut a room divider and two sets do the job great.
