Silverline 612120 Lip and Spur Drill Bits 3 mm Pack of 10

They work well and were a good price so what is there not to like!

Silverline stuff is not great quality and so I only buy disposables. Out of 10 drills, all tested in a chuck, 2 were slightly bent. I use these as countersink bit pilot drills and so they wear quickly or break, hence the disposable aspect. If you intend to do fine work, buy better quality. These though are very cheap for my purpose and I am satisfied.

Wasn't expecting much for the price but these are sharp and stay sharp and are really straight.

from my personal experience. IMHO.1.packaging is not as on picture. not big deal but it just was not as expected.2. very strange angles of cutting edges. looks like it is mix or steel angles set and "general drill bit" with "central nail"3. drill is disbalanced from begin. geometrically (not straight, centering pint is not really in centre), and because of different sharpening on bot cutting edges.4. drill overheating because of (3).5. life span is around 70 holes/drill bit. after that - bit is broken. 3 of them gone in single day. my cordless drill was ok to survive less than 1/2 of battery with similar number of holes. I was able to work on brick wall after with same trill, make another holes etc. with these bits, I made around 140 holes in one battery charge only.6. these bits require more axial load to be delivered. which is not right thing at all.7. because disbalancing of bits, diameter is not 3mm, it is little bit more. on wood - it is ok, there are other things, leading to big deviations. but, I believe, I can expect that bits will not be vibrating like hell.so, yes, you can make some holes. but I will not be ordering these again.

Used for pilot holes for wood screws whilst building a shed. Did break a few but at the price had no regrets buying these.
