It has a high amount of retinol in it so when I first started to use this my skin felt a little dry and sore but I had researched retinol products and was expecting this and this subsided after a few weeks. My skin has now started to get the benefits from this and is smoother and a little brighter and pigmentation from sun damage has lightened a little .
