In terms of writing style, this Haynes manual is in the transitional stage from the excellent older style to the more generic newer style so, not bad overall. They do miss some glaring issues though, for example "remove manifold nuts"…it's actually impossible to remove the first two nuts (cylinder one) with the head in situ as the power steering pump mount completely blocks it, this component wasn't there when the original engine was designed. Also the compression release fuel feed pipes. They are an invention of Satan and Haynes massively understates what's needed to release them. Id you trash the tiny plastic grip tabs in the process, the pipes are scrap and need complete renewal (v expensive). Also 'remove catalyst from exhaust manifold by removing the nuts'….errr, there are no nuts…or joint, in fact the cat and manifold is one huge casting. If you remove the head with it fitted you'll need a hoist !! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Happy with Haynes *by R***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 November 2012* What can one say. Haynes Car Manuals have been an industry standard for years with good text and clear b&w photos of (almost) all the aspects of vehicle maintenance. There are the usual wee points of remove bolt X then bolt Y for which one has to cross refer to another chapter to remove A, B, C and D to get to bolt X, but otherwise what can one say.Only real complaint is the issue of the paper quality... great hardback cover but almost newsprint for the content. The older / earlier manuals were printed on far better paper. Now if there are particular settings or figures one needs to highlight to assist later reference, one has to ensure the highlighter pen makes the briefest of stops on the paper or one will find the colour bleeds through to the other side :-(However overall, good information, laid out well and good VFM. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Haynes Is The Best For Car Manuals *by M***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 January 2013* The heading says it all really. The book has a hardback cover, which helps to protect it, over the many times you might have to thumb through it. We've bought a Haynes Manual for every car we've owned. It lays out a basic weekly check plan, which is easy for the 'not mechanically' minded to follow From topping up windscreen washer, checking the oil level, checking the battery, tyre treads etc. In the trouble shooting section it has a system that tells you how hard or easy each potential task could be. Making it easy for you to decide wether to undertake any task yourself or take it to a garage.
