Bad Bad Bad
Bad! I have had this unit for maybe a week and a half and my cameras have worked 100% maybe a total of 3 hours with it (not all at once). I have 5 zmodo cameras hooked to this hvr. I initially hooked up the cameras and they were not found on the hvr. Called customer service and they said i had to manually input IP codes for camera. Got the email for the codes and only recived one code which was for the hvr itself. Call again the next day and got a really helpful guy who reset all of my cameras and they worked.....for awhile. I leave to go to the store ,return home and all of my cams are offline. I call again and CS is closed on the weekend. No hvr all weekend. Guess what, one of my vehicles was broken into. Thanfully we got him on th app. So Monday morning i call again. Lady tells me the problem is i have to plug the hvr directly into thw wall its not getting enough power. Im sceptical but i hang up and do what she says....NOPE. Still nothing! I call AGAIN and after being on hold for 30 minutes I tel the guy what is going on and what worked the last time. He insists I have to reset,not reboot but reset my router which takes it back to factory settings. So i have to hang up with him bc NOW my router isn't showing up on any of my devices in my home. Get that done and call back AGAIN. I tell the guy on the other line what is going on and he first tells me reset your router...nope not doing that...next. So i basically tell him what worked the last time and we do that one camera at a time. Resetting them all and they show up on my hvr after being on the phone for an hour and a half. So now I am looking at cameras that intermittently flash from working, still screens, video loss,offline,and time stamp wrong ! And believe me this is the short version. Getting rid of the entire system. Its suppose to put you at ease but does just the opposite!

Easy to set up and get online
Had previously purchased 8 WiFi cameras for monitoring my dogs. Didn’t want to continue my cloud storage subscription, so I decided to get and NVR. At first it took me a long time to figure out whether the cameras I had would work with the NVR, but once I found information one the support page, I decided to give it a shot. Received my NVR and powered it up. Since my WiFi cameras were already operational, the NVR detected them almost immediately. What a breeze! Still trying to figure out the nuances of the motion detection alarms, but overall I am very satisfied with this product. I chose this particular NVR since it gives me the option of using PoE.

Not very good.
I found this NVR to be unreliable and it only works part of the time. I have six cameras and so far I've got two now that have gone offline. It was hard to configure and I would not have bought this if I had known how much of a pain it would be. Using just the cameras through my router and the meshare app was far better. I can not recommend this in the slightest. I'm using all Zmodo wireless cameras and it has been horrible.

I am also happy to see that I can add more cameras even ...
My old Zmodo NVR broke down after 4 years so I ordered this to replace it. It has worked flawlessly so far and was basically plug and play. It detected my POE cameras right away and was simple to add to my phone for remote viewing. I am also happy to see that I can add more cameras even the wireless ones so I can add for more cameras on top of the 4 I already had.

Good for local backup.
I’ve been using this device from five months, installation was real quick and all my cameras got detected they got added automatically in like 2-3 minutes of time. Sometimes because of the network interruptions i observed a video loss and lag in the recording. The mobile app also shows up the NVR device which is really good whenever you’re out of town it can be also viewed from the app, it takes time though a to show up the cameras. So far i feel this is a better one for a local backup if you have more cameras you can go for this one.

Stopped working after a week
This is a replacement because the first one was online, but wasn't recording, at all.The new one (same exact model) will not get online. And when i tried to playback an incident that happened at work on the camera's, it froze and the screen went black.Do yourself a favor and buy a better system than ZMODO
