Black is Black
True colour. Fast running, so get your workspace & ppe / gloves ready before starting. It'll drip & flick very easily. It did take me a couple of dabs into the bottle to suss out how best to use the accompanying sponge-on-a-stick. Had to apply two coats because of the shoe not because of the dye - this being exactly as I had hoped, very black (not that there is such a thing) and covers quickly and easily - thus cannot fault the quality. If the dye doesn't bleed when it rains then the product will have been well worth the investment. Total application time was no more than 2 minutes per shoe. Cleaning any spills is a bit of an issue. The dye does its job so well that standard household cleaning products including white spirit / turps won't remove it. Fortunately, for the odd rogue spot that managed to find itself onto neighbouring surfaces (always happens to me for some clumsy reason) I had isopropanol alcohol on the shelf which worked.

Angelus Suede Dye Black
As described and a little goes a long way so the size is really good. I have only used this brand once before when I purchased their leather dye and that was really good as well. I really liked the dauber applicator (wipe excess off too avoid waste and leaking on footwear) as it made dyeing my trainers super easy. Great dye, very good coverage compared to other brands and a very good quality.

Excellent dye!
Great item! Re-dyed my Ugg boots that were looking a bit green. They're like new. Advise wearing gloves and putting protection down as it is watery. Would definitely use again.

Good but with some caveats
Is a decent dye for suede but a few things to keep in mind from my own experience trying to dye a pair of Tan coloured boots... 1. Wouldn't recommend if you are intending to fully dye a pair of full suede shoes/boots unless you are willing to buy 2 or more bottles as on the box it recommends 2-3 coatings. 90ml was the only available bottle size for me and I thought this would be enough. One full bottle was only able to cover one boot with one coating. 2. For the similar amount of money, I could've taken it to a professional shoe smith who could've done a better/complete job. For ref, I live in central London and three places have quoted me in the range of £25-£35. 3. The Tan suede boots I wanted to dye black, only after one coating dried/looks more dark Navy than Black (as other reviews have mentioned). I would assume the dye would look the same if the base colour of whatever it is you are dying is a lighter or similar colour to mine. Overall if you're looking to touch up on a faded pair of shoes or if you are wanting to dye a section/panel of suede then would recommend as in this instance it would be better value than taking it to a specialist. Some key tips which may seem obvious but should be followed... - Definitely wear gloves, an apron, black clothing, or beater clothes as this stuff can really stain your skin (as well as everything else). - Set down plastic, tarp, or newspaper as this will likely stain anything it gets on, even on porcelain or some tiling. - If dying shoes even if the sole is black, tape them off. Excess or residual dye on soles leaves noticeable markings/staining when dried. - Have a few extra daubers on hand or if reusing the one, make sure you rinse and ring it out thoroughly and let fully dry before re-use.

Excellent Suede Dye with Great Coverage
This suede dye works really well. The color is rich and deep, and it does a great job restoring faded or worn suede. The black dye provides strong coverage and makes older suede look refreshed again. The dye applies smoothly and absorbs nicely into the material. With proper prep and a couple light coats, the finish comes out even and natural looking instead of stiff or painted over. It’s also nice that the bottle comes with an applicator that makes it easier to control where the dye goes. Overall, this is a great product if you’re looking to restore or recolor suede. It brought new life back to my items and I would definitely use it again.
