Not sure about grey. **Q: Does it come off if they get wet in the rain** A: The whitener seems to stay well on the canvas part of my trainers. It isn't very long lasting on the synthetic areas. Only worn in light showers so don't know how it would behave if totally soaked. My trainers are yellowing slightly - due to age/sun/dirt? The colour matched the original white colour (no yellow tone), and it blended in nicely without looking like a patch. The key is applying it in thin layers and feathering the edges. Start with a very light first layer (it should look like almost nothing), let it dry for about 10 minutes, then apply another thin layer if needed. Once done properly, the marks were almost completely gone while the natural leather texture stayed visible.
