Parade - Music from the Motion Picture Under the Cherry Moon

Probably my favourite Prince album, such a productive era for him and his cohorts Alexander, Jamie and Joey. For me this is an album first and then a soundtrack if you know what I mean, this was also an insight into his musical flexibility and arrangement skills, a window to what was to come the following year. Pure class and genius.With regards to the vinyl quality mentioned in previous reviews, I just played both sides of the album I received a couple of days ago and it plays perfectly with no clicks, skips or pops. The paper used to make the sleeve is thicker and better quality compared to an original copy.

A great album and a really good pressing, I'm listening to vinyl for around 35 years and no records have skipped because I've listened on proper turntables.

Wouldn't play without skipping on my cheaper turntable but having upgraded my turntable it now plays beautifully and I can happily say this is a terrific repressing of this forgotten gem in Prince's back catalogue. Songs come to life like never before with wonderful stereo separation and soundstage.

Like the stripped down sounds of this album. The album has a great flow. It also has songs that stand alone: girls & boys, under the cherry moon, sometimes it snows in April, Kiss, mountains, and another lover..

Efficient delivery . LP was new so the condition was as expected xx

Had it the first time around but this 180g repress sounds fantastic. Bit of a mix with instrumentals, love songs and dirty pop/ funk but still works nicely.

Had to send two back as both discs were warped. 5 stars for Prince but I must have tapped into a bad batch.

Vinyl / Record release - the sound quality is exceptional on this release. No warp, all joy. A great pressing. omwe
