It does seem to be made of plastic so you do need to be very careful with it but if it is just sitting on a desk/shelf, it should be perfect. Cleaning it will probably take more care than normal, but as long as you’re careful and use non abrasive cleaners/just a dry microfiber cloth, it should be fine.
