Elgato EyeTV Diversity, Dual-Tuner TV Stick, Freeview (USB 2.0), silver, Mac/Windows

I bought this because my Humax PVR has stopped recording. I couldn't afford to buy another PVR at the moment and I was wanting to record directly onto my computer which is less easy with a PVR. The Elgato works. I live in a basement and yes I need to use the roof aerial in my living but that's not a problem at the other side of the flat in my bedroom I get good reception. I think I will check out getting a cheap digital internal aerial to see if that gives me a consistent signal in the bedroom. Nothing lost if it doesn't work. I'll just return it.The software is excellent. The remote works well. I have also just realised that this will be cheaper to run than my PVR for recording programmes so I am going to save on electricity. I am well pleased. This was an excellent price from 'The Marvelous Tiger' and that helped me make the decision s the reviews were mixed for the Elgato Diversity. A lot of those reviews though were a few years old. This is the 2013 Elgato Diversity Dual Tuner.

I am quite impressed with the ease of setup and quality of this product. I do however feel I have been fooled into believing I could watch more than one live TV stream at once.. I can only work out how to watch one live TV stream and one pre-recorded stream. If there is a way to watch more than one live TV stream using just the hardware and software included I cannot work it out.Also, I am a little disapointed by the video export functions as I can't seem to produce compact files without noticable degradation in video quality. I do like how I can easily cut out frames that I don't want and have the software concatenate the video sequences, and I do like how the scheduler will record programs for me once its set.One more gripe, I wish the GUI could have more options about how it looked. Or maybe I just haven't worked out how to do it. I sort of wish being able to use cursor left and right buttons on the keyboard would let me change up/down the channels when the software had the focus of the mac.Otherwise I am happy with this product, but still think I might have been just as happy with the similar product from this company that costs about half as much since I can't seem to work out how to get greater functionality that this product seems to offer.

Picks up the programme guide from the TV signal, so you don't need to sign up to the service they offer free for the first year.Works with radio that is on Freeview as well.Works perfectly with the provided aerials, in SW19, but we are 10 miles from Crystal Palace.On a mac (OS X 10.8) you can choose a programme form the guide and then leave it in sleep and it will wake and record the programme for you.-------------------------From using this further, it does have a problem every so often recording what you've programmed, which can be fixed by closing it and restarting it, but this is no good if you've left it to record something and recorded nothing.The software has been updated, but it's still not that reliable and seems to me to have gone backwards since I bought it.

I purchased eyetv a while ago. Recently they released eyetv 4 to support the lastest macOS software. I tried to install the updated version but the license/activation key does not work. Contacted support - no help. Might as well have thrown my money down the drain. If you want to use eyetv that works do not update your mac to MacOS Catalina.

Had the original decoder and Eye TV Mk1 for many years and it worked superbly. Bought new super dooper LCD Mac and decided to upgrade to Diversity. Read many reviews, looking back none of the negative ones really made any sense. Get a Mac, plug this in, connect with ONE household aerial and the little splitter cable and enjoy two channels at once. It is not flimsy at all. Mine works best with a £20 FM signal booster. Yes, an FM signal booster - go figure. I couldn't be more pleased. I didn't even try the mini aerials that came with it. You really need to live in the shadow of a transmitter for those to work well.

I waited a couple of weeks before reviewing, so I could get some experience using the product. Very disappointed with the lack of HD channels. I'd expected these to be standard nowadays. After 2 weeks experimenting I haven't managed to get the dual tuner working - the instructions could be better. Also annoyed that I cannot watch at 2x speed with commentary as I could with Windows Media Centre. Its very useful for sports like Formula 1 and football - start recording, do something else for 45mins, then watch the recording from the beginning at 2x while it continues to record the rest of the event. Pity that a 2016 product is not as good as a 2007 product.A month later:Eventually I found out how to get both tuners working, and worked out that "Scan rate" in the menu actually indicates how fast the fast-froward or fast-reverse actually goes. However the sound is switched off at 2x speed, when it is probably OK to hear it. The problem is that the manual can be confusing - I found how to use both tuners with one aerial by working through the menus and experimenting. As the system now works mostly as I want, I will increase the stars to 4, the 5th would come if I could turn the sound on in fast forward.

Ho acquistato questa chiavetta per utilizzarla su un iMac 27" del 2017.Il prezzo é un pò elevato ma la qualitá, la fruibilitá ed il numero di funzioni sono tutte ai massimi livelli e non fanno rimpiangere il "centone" speso per l'acquisto.La chiavetta ha due ingressi antenna, uno standard (da casa) ed uno piccolo, e arriva con due antennine, una appunto con connettore standard ed una con connettore piccolo.Ci sono peró due adattatori: uno per utilizzare anche l'ingresso piccolo con antenne con connettore standard ed un secondo adattatore a "Y", per sfruttare entrambi gli ingressi dei sintonizzatori con un'unica antenna di casa.Quest'ultima soluzione é quella che ho adottato io e che dà la possibilitá di sfruttare molte funzioni interessanti della chiavetta, come il picture in picture e la registrazione simultanea di due canali oppure la visione di un canale mentre se ne registra un altro.Il telecomando in dotazione è una vera cinesata, in confronto alla qualitá percepita della chiavetta, ma consente di utilizzare tutte le funzioni presenti.Il PiP consente di avere diverse configurazioni e posizionamenti dei due schermi attivi e di alternare con un pulsante quello principale con il secondario.La guida TV inclusa é davvero chiara ed intuitiva e consente di programmare le registrazioni a piacimento, avvisando quando la programmazione delle registrazioni sovrappone piú di due programmi contemporaneamente.La qualitá TV é meglio di molte alte chiavette TV ma lo schermo Retina 5K tende ad amplificare i difetti qualitativi delle immagini (lo fa anche con le foto), pertanto può risultare inferiore a quella della TV di casa.Nel mio caso la stabilitá del segnale é superlativa.Le funzioni programmabili su Mac sono meno di quelle programmabili da PC; tra tutte, quella di cui sento piú la mancanza, é la funzione relativa all'impostazione del tempo di risposta tra la digitazione di un tasto numerico ed il passaggio alla digitazione del numero successivo: quando si vuole passare ad un canale composto da piú numeri utilizzando il tastierino numerico diventa molto difficile riuscire ad impostare in tempo le cifre del canale e spesso bisogna ripetere l'operazione piú volte, cercando di essere molto veloci con le dita.Comunque, sfumature a parte, si tratta di un prodotto davvero validissimo!

Cette clef USB tuners TNT fonctionne très bien. Elle possède deux tuners HD, ainsi on peut regarder et enregigistrer un autre programme ou si la réception est mauvaise, utiliser les deux tuners pour améliorer cette dernière.La qualité de réception est d'ailleurs très bonne avec une antenne d'intérieur mais pas avec celles fournies dans mon cas.Le programme fonctionne bien et est simple d'utilisation sur Mac (pas encore essayé sur PC). On peut enregistrer le flux original et l'exporter comme tel ou bien l'exporter dans plusieurs formats et résolutions mp4. On peut utiliser le guide des programmes fourni par Gracenot. Il est également possible de partager les émissions sur son smartphone avec l'application EyeTV (uniquement sur iPhone et payante).

El precio es un poco elevado pero la calidad del producto es buena. Cuenta con sintonizador doble que responde a la perfección. El software asociado, EyeTV, es muy decente.

Nach vielen verschiedenen Versuchen DVB-T als Fernsehlösung wieder zu etablieren, hier die beste Lösung die ich finden konnte. Insgesamt ist das zwar sehr kostspielig im Vergleich, denn schliesslich ist dazu ja ein Computer erforderlich. Wer den jedoch sowieso mit dem gleichen Monitor betreibt, dem ist es eine günstige und hervorragende Lösung.Das Päckchen kommt an, Der Anschluss per USB an den Mac Mini und die Antenne auf der anderen Seite gelingt bereits bei Sichtung des Inhaltes, also ohne die gute und übersichtliche Anleitung. Software auf den Mac kopieren und los gehts. Die Einstellungen geschehen auf einem optisch sehr ansprechenden Menü und werden so schön begleitet, dass auch dieser Punkt schnell den Fernsehgenuss näher bringt.Los gehts. Zunächst habe ich das Gerät noch mit der Magic Mouse mühevoll vom Sofa aus bedient. Plötzlich jedoch versuchte ich die Apple Fernbedienung und konnte nicht mehr damit aufhören :-))Also als Lösung für Mac Nutzer eine tolle DVB-T Empfangslösung mit:-komfortablem Pausieren und Aufnehmen von Sendungen-Verwalten der Sendungen-Betrachtung des EPG (Elektronischer Programm Guide)-und die bequeme Bedienung des ganzen wahlweise mit der simplen und kleinen Mac RemoteKlare Empfehlung von einem der sonst immer was zu meckern hat.

Un decoder-sintonizzatore per PC veramente funzionale. Si può collegare a un'antenna oppure usare con le sue due antennine: in questo caso la ricezione è ottima quasi dovunque. Il software permette di registrare in timeshift per avere sempre sul PC le ultime 12 ore (massimo) di trasmissione del canale scelto. Mentre fa questo, è possibile anche registrare un altro programma, poichè è Dual, cioè ci sono in realtà 2 decoder in uno. Oppure non si attiva il Timeshift e si possono registrare con il timer 2 canali diversi contemporaneamente. Qualità della registrazione buona (720 x 576). Sono molto soddisfatta del mio acquisto, e lo consiglio vivamente a chi cerca una soluzione semplice ma di qualità per vedere la TV sul PC.
