This book is very informative, i have a cockatiel among other animals and it was interesting to read. There was some good information on the types of fruits and vegetables that they can be fed as treats. The book says that they only live upto 15 years on average. However our's is 26 years old, so i think he may be one of a kind. Defiantly a good read.

I purchased this book for my neighbour who has two Cockatiels, and he wanted to know more about them, and as he could not find a book or information on them, I found this book, and as I was looking at the book on arrival, I found it was well informative, on the birds, and my neighbour is more than delighted with the book.

A Very helpfull compact book for the first time owner of a cockatiel, all the basic infois there for you along with some nice pictures I fell in love with our cockatiel and thisbooks helps me keep him happy and healthy, recommended and the first one that does'ntrecommend clipping their flight feathers.

I never had a clue about keeping these birds, had kept them years ago but don't really know how they survived, well worth getting as a start out book and good value for money

Excellent book for the novice and well written. The book is very descriptive and I must say I have learnt a lot. I would recommend this book.

Pets like it

I've had a pair of cockatiels for the past two years. They are very easy to look after, and like all pets, they crave attention. I bought this book - and others - because I came home one evening to a pair of eggs at the bottom of the cage!!!! I was totally unprepared, and needed some guidance. This book didn't disappoint.The author is matter-of-fact and to the point, and the advice is easy to follow, even for a novice like me. Thanks to this book, I realise that I am on the right track. Now all I need to do is add more veggies to my angel's diet and they'll continue to be their best at all times

Very informative good photographs

Very well-written book for new cockatiel owners (or potential owners). Gives detailed and excellent advice on all that you would need to know... choosing the bird, feeding, housing, teaching, handling, etc. Very informative, with plenty of photos. A definite should-buy for anyone considering a cockatiel as a pet.
