I am so happy with this amazing book!! Yes it is HUGE but my god it's well worth the money and hernia lifting it ;) I have been a Chaplin fan for as long as I can remember, but only recently did I get seriously involved in researching his life and works. I own a few very good Chaplin books, including his autobiography. But this is different. This is the most extensive and exhaustively researched book about him anyone could imagine! The exclusive material contained in it are worth the price alone. Never mind the thrill of finding that my copy was one of the lucky 10,000 to include the strip of original 35mm print of "City Lights" ! What can I say? It's an absolute treasure trove and only goes to further cement my belief that Charlie was indeed a cinematic genius and true icon. To quote Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, with whom Chaplin starred in a handful of shorts and was a friend 'I have always regretted not having been his partner in a longer film than these one-reelers we made so rapidly. He is a complete comic genius, undoubtedly the only one of our time and he will be the only one who will be still talked about a century from now.'

This book is MASSIVE AND HEAVY! It's the most amazing book about Charlie that I've seen so far! Incredible detail and visual look at Charlie's incredible 75 years in the film industry! Any fan of Charlie MUST get this book. It's very expensive I know, but you certainly get what you pay for! This book is amazing!!!!

It is very heavy and is best read on a table but heavy means good. Packed with good pictures and interesting facts this is the one for any Chaplin fan.
