No frills! Tough! Functional!
Alright, so you want a quality product at a bargain price? Well this is it! This pan heats evenly, is dishwasher safe and will be able to take much abuse. The handle is very comfortable, not riveted but welded, which I prefer, since there will be no gunk build-up this way. The lid fits nice and snug. The thick aluminium disc on the bottom is of optimal thickness (5mm) in terms of heat conductivity. The walls of the pan are simple stainless steel and do not contain any aluminium. In a saucepan, fry pan or stockpot this is another benefit because it concentrates the heat where it is needed - in the bottom. Thick aluminium or copper in the sides wastes heat (energy) by moving it up the sides where it radiates into the air around the pan. Also, it ads unnecessary weight.At the price this pan sells for at amazon.com it is unbeatable, though even the list price is well justified.
