Great lights
I was concerned with the reviews talking about wire breakage due to the strand tangling easily. Each strand of lights was split into 2 coils. I left one coiled with the tie on it while I strung the first half. You do have to be very careful but once they are up they are amazing. We are using the solid lit mode and they come on at dark and are still on when we wake up in the morning. Picture is of the lights on the first pergola. We have put the second set on the other pergola and purchased 2 more sets that I installed on our trees. I love that they are solar powered. I used double sided mounting tape and mounted the solar panel on the top of the pergola posts so they are out of the way. I was worried the solar panels for the ones on the trees would not get enough sunlight but they don't seem to need direct sunlight to charge.

Mode keeps changing lights do what they want
UPDATE:I purchased 5 more of the 2 packs so 10 strands. They dont hold the mode that they are set on. I have 10 strands of lights that do what they feel like. Flashing fading twinkling chasing alternating steady it drives me nuts. You reset it and it changes on its own. Wont stay were set for long. I contacted the seller and they did not reply. Make your purchase elsewhere.I love these lights, they look beautiful, but it said that they last up to 10 hours on a full charge. I purchased 3 sets of 2. The first set only lasts 2 hours the rest get 3 hours. Thats why i gave 3 stars. If the batteries charged and held even for 8 hours i would be happy. And i live in florida and have placed the panels so they get direct hot fl sun from sun up to sun down

Tangled mess and battery capacity fix
Spool the tangked mess onto cardboard like the photo. Otherwise you will throw them in the trash like i almost did. Also it only comes with one aa rechargeable battery, i added another. The tray holds three but only has conductors for one. No problem just add aluminum foil to jump into the next bay. Make sure you place battery in parallel + to + and - to -. Tou will have 2400 mah instead of 1200. I will update as it goes to see if they hold up.

BUT getting to the end result is extremely tedious..
Only thing positive to say is they do work.BUT getting to the end result is extremely tedious.....i recommend a bottle of Tequila before starting. The wire lighting is shoved loose AND UNSPOOLED down in a box in knots. All the manufacturer needed to do was spool the lighting to prevent a long process of pulling endless knots.

Great value for the price
I have used these for a few months now. I bought two and wrapped them around the rail of my patio. They make the patio look warm and festive in these dreary winter months. It's been getting dark by 5:30pm and these things turn on and run out of charge by about 10:00pm. I wish they lasted longer, I think it might be because of the lower amount of sunlight we get in the winter. Hopefully, will have more of a charge in the summer months. The cables are thin, but they've lasted through 3 snow storms and multiple heavy rains and wind and still go on every night.Great value for the price.

Update: Works in Pacific Northwest on “bright” weather days
Pros: pretty little warm white lights with a very nice effect. Lights are inline on the wire, no dangling bulbs.Cons: worked only for 3 nights. The wire is Extremely Delicate. And I mean extremely. Despite being a very detail oriented person and handling very carefully, wire still became tangled. It did not “unroll” well even though I untied only 1 roll at a time (each strand of lights is bundled into two twist-tied rolls). One set of lights flickered if I held the wire between my fingers too tightly between the bulbs as I was installing outside. Nope didn’t bend or kink the wire. Product needs to indicate more specifically how bright of daylight needed for solar charge so I could reasonably assess if these would work with overcast, winter days in Pacific Northwest. The solar sensors are out in clear, non-shade, max light absorbing location. I don’t know if the few days they worked if the sky was marginally brighter (2 of the days they worked seemed same weather conditions as nonworking days).UPDATE: Not returning item. The lights are def weather-dependent in my area. If it’s a “feels like winter heavy overcast day” (not uncommon in western WA, especially Dec-Feb), adjust your expectations & embrace the darkness or have a backup plan, lol! This may be a “you get what you pay for” thing. If mfg provided info about how much light is needed to make these work, it might be helpful to manage expectations bc initially I thought these lights just stopped working after 3 days. Turns out when the stretch of “clouds on your shoulders” days lifted, the lights worked again. Goes without saying, been up/down ever since because....Seattle, lol! :)

Great lights
Best lights I've purchased and got plenty of compliments. No need to worry about turning it on and off. Also the different settings are fantastic, lots of different options. Solar power works well and didn't need batteries. I still have it set up on my deck since last Christmas, and use them as porch lights throughout summer. Just need to be careful unraveling, it can get knotted up if you don't do it carefully.

Was able to fix broken line with a soldering iron, works perfectly now.
Good deal for two of these. I gave 4 stars because they were much more difficult to unravel than any of the others I purchased in the past from other sellers. It would help if they were wrapped around cardboard to make it easier to unravel. One of them broke while unwinding it, but I was able to use a soldering iron to fix the line and it works perfectly now. I wrapped them around an inverted tomato cage to look like a tree, for Christmas decor, and they look beautiful at night. They can be perfectly shaped to your liking.
