Replacement foodcycler bucket
Only had foodrecycler for less then a year and had to replace bucket already. I would think as expensive as the product is i would not have to replace a bucket already. The product does a great job with making a hummus product. It is not compost, one should know. I love this product just disappointed i had to replace the bucket already for $50. Hope this reciew helps.

Good idea, cheap parts. Beancounters ruin everything they touch.
Had to replace the whole bucket because I can't order just the moving part which broke. It is NOT sufficently robust -- the shaft should be 1/4 inch. It is no thicker than #9 wire. I doubt that Food Cycler will even read this, but they could easily make a much, much better product.

The bucket will last up to 1 year
This is a third bucket I got to the Cycler. I love the entire unit, but the bucket breaks and you have to replace entire bucket instead of just the moving part.

How does this break
I was disappointed when my 1st bucket only lasted 2 1/2 months. One of the inside handles completely broke off. For the high cost,this should last longer. I purchased the food cycler 6-13-2018. Replacement bucket 9-4-2018.

easy cleaning
This is much easier to clean that the original container. I've got to scrape and pry to clean the original, this one just slides off with no stickiness or mess.

It lasts about a year
The engineering and metal quality for the drive connection inside the bucket mechanism are weak. The toughest thing we ever put in the thing is a sliced up broccoli stem. I performed a temporary repair on the old one and the method of engagement of the drive shaft to the grinding arm is inadequate and could have much more strength.

Very sturdy, taking on a multitude of organic materials, grinding it to an easily manageable mulch.
Excellent replacement for the original bucket, that generated over 50 pounds of completed mulch over the past four years.

Good idea, poor engineering and execution
Broke in less than one year. $50 is too much for replacement of a low quality product.Update: Buying replacement bucket again 7 months before first replacement.

Just like the one that comes with it. But maroonish colored.
Works just the same and it’s handy to have a second bucket. The quality of the finish on it isn’t great and the non stick coating has started coming off in a few weeks just like the bucket that comes with the food cycled

Environmentally Green
This Food Recycler is the most amazing product, we LOVE it!!! It miraculously, effortlessly, quickly, odorlessly, turns household organic waste to... dirt, which we then use in our garden as compost. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to reduce waste, and not have to worry about composting organic waste outside, attracting wildlife. Added benefit of having compost for your garden, that doesn’t attract animals. Also, and as importantly, the customer service is bar none, most excellent and supportive.

Product defective
After about 5 uses, the grinding arm became loose. I contacted the company, and they replied to keep using it and contact them if it became worse. After 2 more cycles it completely fell apart. I have tried contacting the company again but no response.

Bucket was purchased to replace original, which broke. Fits machine, works exactly the same as the original did. Back to using my food cycler regularly :).
