Suitable for beds and chairs with wide legs due to the 9cm (3.5") wide diameter. Simple, discreet, one piece, grey, plastic design blends with any furniture. Supports most types of furniture leg including ones with castor wheels. Central recess 1.5cm (0.75") allows castors to locate within the raiser to ensure stability. Maximum user weight limit: 380kg (60st) includes weight of furniture. Review: Elephants will be wanting these back. - Had to get these as my last bit of equipment in readiness for total hip replacement. Bed needed to be raised from 19" to about 23" so looked on the net for bed risers. Hundreds of them with lots of different designs but very few accurate measurements and descriptions mostly for spindly-legged chairs and beds with castors. After much deliberation plumped for these although again, very difficult to tell what they were going to look like or what size they are from the description. They're fine. They are light grey plastic, weight 200 grms each, measure 9.5 cm across the bit where the leg goes in, 30.5 cm diameter round the top, 10.5cm high and the diameter of the bottom of the foot is 50 cm. The bed leg would sit just inside the top on a piece of foam rubber, reinforced under that with a cross bar of plastic which makes them strong enough to hold a good weight. They will fit 'bun feet' wood bed legs thank goodness as that's what I was looking for. Not sure about thinner, castor type legs as the rubber forms a sort of cushion just inside the top of the well. Not pretty and if your house is furnished entirely normally they'll stand out like a sore, grey foot. They do the job very well and, as they were bought sight unseen as it were, I was really pleased. Review: Excellent boosters for even heavy items like sofa's - I bought these as temporary lifts to an old antique writing desk that I have that isn't really designed for the more modern chairs. My office chair had no hope of getting under the desk with me on it, so rather than replacing the desk I bought these feet to boost up the desk to a more usable height. These are quite large sturdy plastic cups and they are never going to win an award for their clunky looks, but to raise a sofa up a few inches or to raise a desk to a more usuable height they are perfect. You could even bring up the height of a hefty oak bed I suspect. They feel very strong and I suspect they will be able to withstand quite a heavy weight. My temporary measure has now stayed permanent! Size wise, I guess they are about 5 or 6 inches in diameter, so they are definitely not small. The chair is very sturdy and the castor wheels fitted well into the feet, the hardest job was lifting the chair up to put the feet under so you will need two people to do this.
