Game changer
This is a real game changer for me. After watching some YouTube videos of people using this I decided to get one. It hasn’t disappointed! Easy to assemble, sturdy and easy to use. It makes light work of breaking up the top layer of soil ready for seeding/ planting. On hard soil it won’t go deep but I have found that if I use a hand cultivator only very roughly first, then use this on top it makes quick work of prepping a bed. I’m really really impressed with this. It has quickly become my favourite - can’t do without - tool. Can’t recommend this enough. If you’re in any doubt, get one. It’s changed my life and way of gardening.

Very good and tills well
We needed this to till the sides of the garden.Remember you will need a pole to go with it, we got the long pole and it works very well. The head hoes very well but don't try to dig it in and use the spoke to break it up.Overall it is a good tool and a great work out if you are using it a lot

For very dry soil
I didn’t need the stick with this as I have many of these tools However not so pleased with this one as yet I obviously went to try it straight away as on garden jobs and it wouldn’t even pierce the soil Two things on that the soil was quite packed with all the rain but I also felt it was far too lightweight to actually pierce and start it off so undecided at cost if worth keeping but I might as unusual not to like Wolf tools

What a brilliant tool!!
This tool makes a massive difference when maintaining an allotment. It ploughs through the ground efficiently and neatly. The only issue is other people keep wanting to borrow it!!

A really great design and very effective tool
I brought this tool head knowing it wouldn't come with a handle , which is pretty poor when you consider the price. When it arrived, very soon after ordering, I was plesantly suprised by the size of the thing. It was bigger than I was expecting it to be. On initial inspection of the attachment to the not supplied handle I realised that I was not going to have to part with the extra money. Using a flat headed screw driver, I slid it under the plastic case and gently twisted it. This had the effect of prying off the plastic cover (it can be refitted if done carefully). The result is an exposed metal bar section with 2 pre-drilled holes (one big one at the top as in picture, one smaller one under plastic cover). I then took a length of hazel coppice or any other stout wooden pole and drilled the 2 holes in it using the metal handle stub as a guide. Bolt it on with some nuts, bolts, washers and tighten it up. Job done. I recommend a pole about 7 foot long so one can work the whole raised bed without treading on it. Also the extra length gives you different positions to avoid repetitive strain. Now for the review, the tool is absolutely brilliant. I first used it on a bit of lightly weeded soil on the allotment. It acts like a hoe and slices of the weeds then mills up the soil nicely. Then I decided to really give it some beans and started ploughing up an un-dug weed crop on the new allotment. I should note I did dig out the big weeds with a fork first but all the rest just got ploughed out picked up and then repeat. Each time , if you get the angle right and really attack the soil it drives the hoe bit under and slices about an inch or two of the hard unworked soil off the top. Then on the back and forth stroke it mashes/crumbles it getting finer and finer every pass flinging out weeds as you go. You can achieve a fine tilth over quite a large area reasonably quickly. Also using and abusing the tool it gave a bed of soil about 6-8 inches deep that was really light and just had to rake it over and off you go.The point others make about stones is a minor issue, I had loads get stuck but it gives you a chance to get your breath back and they come out easy enough. Also in wet clay soils it may be an issue with it clogging, mine clogged once or twice but it had rained a lot prior to working. All in all very happy. I hope it survives this type of use and will update if it breaks. It is well made though and although the metal is quite thin it's stainless steel. The ultimate human powered plough at the cost of one months gym membership! Get one.

Fantastic tool
Followed a lot a people who use this tool and read a lot of reviews before buying it, I was a little nervous it might be too heavy for me to use but it’s one of the best tools I’ve ever bought, me and my husband fight over who’s using it haBrilliant and well worth the money

Gartenfräse Multi-Star D-AS von Wolf

Excellent Tool
This was great for tearing up grass. It took forever for the handle to come so we had some weeks. In one day I had my garden cleaned up. Works great between well spaced plants.
