Truly Magical
What can I say about the book... wow. I pre-ordered a copy after seeing the promotional youtube video and was thrilled to receive my copy today (quite a bit earlier than expected, thanks amazon). I was instantly overwhelmed by the size of it - it is incredibly heavy and visually stunning. The hardback cover is sturdy with beautiful presentation and a lovely picture of Hogwarts on the front. There is no tacky blurb or explanation of the book on the back cover either which is refreshing. The sheer volume of information and pictures inside the book make it worth the money as there are behind the scenes photographs, cast interviews, beautiful artistic impressions and photographs of many details you may have missed while watching the movies. My favourites include the fold-out intricate drawings of the Death Eater masks and the wonderfully detailed plan of Hogwarts. The contents are as follows:'Part I: The Making of Harry Potter' contains sections for each movie including introductions, photographs, descriptions, sketches and how each director/screenwriter etc faced challenges in adapting the book and how they accomplished it. There is a breakdown of important sequences from the movie so you can learn how they created The Battle of Hogwarts, Illuminating the Inferi etc. My only complaint is that the first book/movie is listed as 'Harry Potter and The Sorcerers Stone' which annoyed me a little as I'm British and remain loyal to the Philosophers Stone (of course).'Part II: The Art of Harry Potter' covers each character/costumes, locations/set design, creatures/special makeup and digital effects and artifacts/prop making. The concept art is breathtaking and I was thoroughly interested in how they brought all the magical creatures to life on the big screen. There are sections in the book for everything you can imagine - The Sorting Hat, how they made a Howler, the creation of Fawkes, Dragons, Dementors. The amount of detail is overwhelming.'Part III: Epilogue' - Very short section with acknowledgements and pictures of the cast from the last day on set.I was surprised by the amount of care that has gone into creating this book as it is wonderful. The detail is breathtaking and I can't think of a single thing they've missed. This is the perfect gift for a Harry Potter fan... unless you don't want to ruin the magic of course.

The ultimate book for die hard Potter fans
This is the ultimate book based on the harry potter films, all eight are explored in acute detail over 530 pages, accompanying the text are countless images of film stills, concept art, plans and photographs that show just how much work actually went into making these amazing films. What this book also does, that the film wizardry book only touched on, is give us an insight into the cast's day to day life on set, how they grew up with the film series and how it affected them. Not only does this book talk about the eight films themselves but it also goes into detail on other aspets of the the films: the creatures, the artifacts, the locations and the characters are all seperate sections in this book. The book looks, in detail, at the many props that were used to create the films, from the marauders map to the various wands. It also looks at the places the filmakers went to to deliver the epic scenery and landscapes seen on screen. The anecdotes and facts included are very interesting and suprising and what makes this book really cool is the fact that it doens't just repeat information from Film Wizardry - it's all new information and pictures. The look of the book is very good, you can tell plenty of effort has gone into this tome in order to make it as brilliant as possible for the millions of fans who would undeoubtedly purchase this book. First off, the book is suprisingly heavy and very big, i had to modify my bookshelf just so i could fit it in with my other potter books. It is hardcover and the title is embossed on the cover, the image of Hogwarts on the front is deliberately ambiguous, almost luring you to open the front cover and read. When this book is placed next to film wizardry it dwarfs it dramatically as this book is unbelivably huge and when set next to the seven potter book it's practically Hagrid size in proportion. The only thing i have to say against this book is that it doesn't explore the actual books enough, or J K Rowling either - when it said Page to Screen i expected lots of information on teh books themselves but there isn't that much on them, which is unfortunate. However other than that this book is deserved of it's five star rating and i will definitely re-read this in the future.Awesome!

Captures the Spirit of Harry Potter
I have had this book for a while but haven't found the time to write a review about it.I have the previous book to this one - Wizarding World of Harry Potter which is more interactive with pop-ups etc. and I fully recommend. So I was expecting this book to be in similar size but with different topics in it.How wrong was I?!?!?The Postman delivered a huge box and at first I thought he had delivered the wrong thing but I opened it up and this beautiful (HUGE-you get a lot for the money) book came out. For a while I just sat there looking at how splendid it looked - beautifully bound and just amazing but then I turned over the page!WOW!If you are a huge fan of the Harry Potter franchise then you NEED this book. It has EVERYTHING I Harry Potter fan could want and I mean everything as you can see from the other reviews. This book is worth every penny - it is magnificant - amazing pictures and detail on everything Harry Potter!!! This book deserves the fantastic reviews and you can tell that a lot of time has been spent in making it a perfect must have for Harry Potter fans. This book has made me very happy! Buy it now while you can!

A treasure trove for any Potterhead
It is criminal that I haven't read this book until now. I've had it since it came out back in 2011, and of course I've flipped through it multiple times, but I had never sat down to read it from front to back. I just finished doing that, and I only have great things to say! This book is obviously a must-read for any huge fans of the books and/or movies, as it goes into great detail about EVERYTHING. The first portion of the book breaks each movie down and includes snippets of interviews with the producers, directors, actors, and insight into all of the hard work the hundreds of crew members put in. This first portion was my favorite part of reading the book, as it included tons of behind-the-scenes info I never knew about, as well as hilarious stories about the actors.Part two is dedicated to art from the movies. This includes tons of concept art, costumes, locations, props, and the creatures created for the films. It's always been pretty obvious that a lot of work went into making these movies, but after reading this book I can more fully appreciate what the art and special effects departments went through to bring the wizarding world to life. I also found it fascinating to read about the creative processes that the directors and art teams went through to arrive at the finished products seen on screen. All in all, this was an incredible book, and I highly recommend all HP fans read it! There's a lot of text for the first 200 pages or so, but it's 100% worth it.

The wonders of Harry Potter
I must admit, when it says Harry Potter on the cover it's hard not to buy it (exept for the million re-releases of the stories). When it comes down to the background information on the movies i'll buy it, instantly (or not instantly, i'll wait till the price becomes more reasonable).Anyway, when your a fan of Harry Potter, the movies, the books, than this will be a great addition to your collection.

Amazing
I was shocked when I received the parcel, because I couldn't believe the book was this big!! The pictures inside it are amazing. The entire story of how the Potters were started, all the way to the last film, and the casting of almost every character, is in here. Each costume and its inspiration, including costumes that only appear briefly, every single location, creatures, props... You can't ask for more. I really loved the maps of Hogwarts and Diagon Alley, they really help imagine what the locations are really like. But I have to maintain that my favourite part was definitely the story of the movies, which was several hundred pages long, filled with info big and small, and covered in pictures.
