Check before purchasing
WD have been up to all sorts of tricks in 2019/2020. Not telling people about SMR tech being used and now calling 7200rpm drives 5400rpm, it makes a difference when using them in a NAS, higher power consumption and noise levels. These can be noisy drives when the NAS (Synology) decides to do its thing in the middle of the night. Other than that i still have great confidence in WD drives.

Pretty good but noisy
It works well, but this is the loudest HDD I ever had.

Noisy fat boy.
I achieve 126MB/sec throughput to this, on a Z390-P motherboard from an i5-8500. Not stunning, especially given the price and the "Pro" moniker. It's also extremely loud when seeking. And it runs hot. I was particularly disappointed by the seller shipping method though - just a thin layer of bubble-wrap, in a thin standard Amazon cardboard wrap - not really any way I think a 10TB drive should be treated.

So far this has been good and I definitely will not be needing another drive for at least 8+ years unless it malfunctions. It is slightly noisey but that doesn't really matter and hopefully this lasts longer than my dead raptor.
