I feel scammed
This is a ridiculously overpriced book. Quality and content are not worth this price... buy some rolls of film with it!

Only 25 pages of original context
Only 25 pages of original context followed by 6 pages from the “Eastman Kodak company” 1935 book and sadly they scaled that information down so small you can hardly read it. I added a photo of the small print next to normal print and a penny for size reference.Quality of the ink, printing and paper is good and the only reason I’m giving it 2 stars. Very disappointing for the price and compared to his other books.

Concise and accurate guide for wet plate artists.
I have been making wet plate positives and negatives now for three years and this is a book that I keep with me at all times. In the field, it's a great quick reference to make sure I have it right. Highly recommended as well as Quinn's other book.

Difficult to read fine print. Very short -- not really a book. Not what I had expected.

Excellent resource for advanced wet plate artists
Excellent resource for making wet plate negatives and contact prints. It's become my guide for mixing chemistry and processing my photographs. Quinn's style is easy to follow and I appreciate the relevant links to historical techniques.

Not worth the price
Cheesecake menu is bigger than this book. Amazon reprint, not worth the price they put on it.

Disappointing.....
Unfortunately this book is rather poor value for money...... My copy is printed by Amazon? and contains 25 pages of info, some of which are copied from original works, with much duplication, 'cut and paste' from earlier pages, before giving another 6 pages in miniscule print copied from Eastman Kodak work of 1935 and ending abruptly.....Followed by 5 blank pages......... That's disappointing Quinn, after reading your other excellent work on the wetplate process.

The content is good just not much of it!
I have Quinn's book on making Ambrotypes and tintypes and find it very useful, this book is less than a third of the size, only 31 pages including a copy of a 1935 book at the back. The content is good just not much of it!

I have just purchased both books for £60, the content of this book is relatively thin, I feel as though both of the books should be comprised into one and not cost £60. really informative, but over priced. feel a little ripped off.
