Balsajo Black Garlic Single Bulb (Pack of 10)

My order of 10 black garlic bulbs were delivered on 14th Dec. I attempted to use one bulb today, but the cloves were so dry and hard that I couldn't remove the skin so I opened another bulb and found that this too was dried up. I left them to soakfor around 30 mins in warm water and eventually managed to remove the skin, a messy and time consuming business. When I looked at the “use by” dates, I found 1 bulb was out of date on the 11th of Dec. 2019 and the other just in date with use by date 13.2.20. I then checked the rest of the order:1 bulb use by 12.10.193 bulbs use by 11.12.19the others use by 13.2.20I am extremely disappointed with such poor quality and dismayed by the lack of stock control.I would like to return these items for a full refund.

Good flavours, I used it as part of a black garlic chicken with truffle oil and mushroom linguine, and it worked really well. Only downside is the variation in use-by dates - 8 are October this year (so 10 months), while 2 are August next year (18 months), would have been nice to have a better spread but not the end of the world - in a lot of things you'll use a whole bulb at a time, so I suspect I'll get through it.

I have not eaten this stuff for years.But these are big garlics with multiple cloves and they seem to be of quality and they taste different from normal garlic as they should. Found nothing wrong so far.

Several bulbs were out of date in October 2019 (I ordered in December 2019) and the cloves are dry and brittle, unlike the characteristic sticky softness of black garlic. Very disappointed. Leaving a review only because I’m not able to return it due to it being food. Avoid and buy elsewhere.

definitely in the healthy range of food available--what a great addition to five a day--good added to such as rready to serve broad beans and many others--brings out its own unique flavour--adds its flavour to other vegetables--delicious--for those like me who can't do cooked food health food--for those who do cooked food i would say it could be added raw to dishes too--altogether i think this black garlic is possibly a delicious beneficial wonder food.
