These cups are amazing and so pretty...however, unlike advertised, They are not microwave safe. they immediately sparked right after staring the microwave.

The set I received is made of ceramic. Very sturdy and the quality feels great (reason why I kept them), a regular 12oz cup in my opinion. The lid is made of ceramic as well. (Most cups have a plastic one) my only complaint is the gold design around the white cup was gone the moment I touched it, leaving my fingers with glitter (as you can see in the pic). On the black one faded just a little. After the first wash the white cup stayed with a flat white look and the black one kept its color. Other than that, these items are 75% as described, including the spoons that are just good for stirring your drink

Have searched a long time, bought many mistakes, before I FOUND THIS PERFECT & BEAUTIFUL COFFEE MUG for Me: one black+ one white. Wondered WHY is a great COFFE MUG so DIFFICULT to find--even on AMAZON. This pair of cups was AMAZON offer for MOTHER'S DAY. I BOUGHT it for my (male) EVERYDAY JOY of 2 BEAUTIFUL CERAMIC CUPS. YOU SHOULD DO THE SAME(made, of course, in JAPAN!) Even comes wit lid and bronze spoon!
