They're affordable and practical but the only downside is you're not able to use your lens hood with the filter for blocking out the glare from the sun so makes it quite difficult. I shoot video rather than photo on a Canon C100 & Canon 70D and bought 2 of these to fit across 3 different lenses. They're great to use on the 70D but I have struggled with colour correction and getting the highlights and shadows right within my image due to the glare. It's not necessarily the products fault as it does what it says it does. So I may have to use a flag to block out the glare on my next shoot. You do get a wash of brightness across your image and you lose detail in the background that's uncorrectable. However I'll stick with these and work out some tweaks on location to improve my end result.
