Red Sovine was born in Charleston WV on Jul 7,1917.He had a heart attack while driving his van in Nashville,resulting in a n accident He died from injuries sufferen in that accident on Apr 6,1980 .He was 62.Hr started his career in 1935 at the age of 18 and was very popular in Country Music and Gospel songs.He was both a singer and songwriter and played guitar.He was best known for recitations,novelty, and truck driving songs,and for being a great entertainrer.. This album was released by Starday Records ( SLP363,ST-90712 in 1966.)It is a Vinal LP and the songs are a great example of the types of songs He was known for.
