Good product with a major flaw
We bought this as we have cleaners and dog walkers that regularly need access to our house when we arent there. It seemed a sensible solution and we installed it in our porch. Small enough not to take too much attention, and can be covered by a rubber casing. It works well, but a couple of negatives: firstly, the keys are very flimsy and so it doesnt always register if you dont push them down properly, and secondly because of a basic design, it doesnt actually matter what order your code is inputted, as long as those numbers are pressed - this seems to me a major flaw and somewhat of a security issue as it means multiple combinations can be accepted rather than one set combination in a particular order. This is because you simply turn the bar for the numbers (on the back of the lock) to a set position if that is the number if your code, and those numbers then need to be pressed to release the lock. But there is n mechanism or automation to ensure that it is inputted in a set order. If this doesnt concern you, it is otherwise a good product that has stood the test of time (had it for about 2 years)

easy to use
The cover has disintegrated and I need a new one. I am happy to pay for it if necessary

Easy access key minder
Product has only room for one key which is detached When you key in code . Making you remember to replace it as soon as you’ve opened the door .Great peace of mind as our door locks itself . If we forget to take a key . It’s there discretely on the wall . The cover makes it look like an out door plug .Just remember to use number sequence you won’t forget

The difficult part is setting it up.
It really is very fiddly to set up, a situation not helped by the instructions. They are in perfectly good English, but ideally need a microscope set to a magnification factor of at least 100 for ease of reading. I've heard of economising on paper, but this is ridiculous!

How to deal with the problem of being locked out!
We had a pet sitter and a dog walker at our home staying there while we were away, and so keys were constantly in use with different people going in and out. To deal with the problem of people losing their keys and getting themselves locked out, a friend suggested we get a key safe. What a blessing this has turned out to be. It's simple to use and has done the job of keeping our spare key safe at all times......so far, so good.

One to avoid!
Maybe the safe which I bouth was a "monday" one, but I certainly wouldn't buy this p[articular item again. It arrived bang on time, was well-packaged, and was very "chunky" and substantial, and the returns procedure was quite clear and practical; but those are about the only good things I can say about it. The instructions were not really legible (the font was about size 1), but even with the aid of a magnifying glass, it was not easy to follow the instructions or to identify the list of parts. The procedure for setting the personal Password code sounded relatively simple, but was extremely finicky and difficult to implement. Removing the back of the unit, in order to turn the buttons to the desired code, could not have been more difficult - and thenm, to cap it all, it was impossible to replace the body of the unit into its "housing", as the metal tongue did not retract sufficiently far to enable the unit to be replaced; the "tongue" remained "proud" of the unit, and could not therefore fit back into the case. All in all a total waste of time, so I was relieved to bae able to return it, and purcahse an alternative Key safe (which at £9.16 cost slightly less than the Purch button one, by was far easier and more practical to commission). One to avoid!

Robust construction but has limitations
This unit is robust in construction and will do the job for me. However, as has been pointed out from other reviewers this unit has three main limitations:-1/ The secure space is small - 2 [maybe 3 if you are lucky] keys max2/ Your PIN must be made up from all different numbers, no duplication of digits.3/ You have to enter the PIN again to close the front panel.

Does what it is supposed to do
Excellent bit of kit. I bought this as part of my carer contingency plan as I am a full time carer and if anything happens to me my Sister, who I care for, will be left high and dry. Very easy to install with masonry bit and hammer drill. Setting the code is a little fiddly, you have to get the buttons aligned with the provided small tool. I just used a screwdriver, I found it much easier. Our front door has a lever tumbler lock, and the key fits inside comfortably. I removed the little snap-link, seems pointless to me. Works like a charm. Might get one for the back door to.
