The device I received works exactly as described and as reviewed by others.A few defining points for me that leads to my low score and disappointment in this device.1) It's NOT silent as it states in the title. The fan makes quite a noise. I purchased it on the basis of it being silent. One review has stated that you can put it on a low setting and the fan is quieter. Still not silent. I have to switch it off at night which defeats the purpose of having one.2) Another review has stated it doesn't come with a plug - This is true its a usb connector, compatible plugs are relatively cheap but its still an extra so do consider this before you purchase.3) Dubious as to how effective it is as the level of dust still builds up. This may be because I have to switch it off at night. I also purchased a cheaper alternative at the same time and experimented with them for a few weeks each. The cheaper one keeps the dust down far better and is silent and comes with a plug. If interested its a PureMate® XJ-1000 Silent Ionic Air Purifier and Ioniser.4) The device I received doesn't have Sunmoch or a logo - its plain. I question if they are the same make and just made to look the same - therefore as effective.5) Lastly it will take a few weeks to arrive as its shipped from China. Not a massive issue but do expect to wait. I'm not sure how easy it is to return if faulty or like me wholly disappointed.

The supplier sent me this item in exchange for an unbiased review. All opinions expressed are my own.This item is well made and has quite a quality look and feel. The device is a cylinder bout 19cm tall by 12cm across made of good quality plastic and well put together with no gaps or wobbles and is powered from any 5v USB power supply.The unit consists of a filter in the base, an internal fan and ion generator and a blue led backlight in the top. The only control is a single button on the top in the centre (press to turn on with full led brightness, press again for "night mode" (half intensity on led, switch off after 8 hours), press again to turn off). The unit works by drawing in air and pollutants through a filter in the base then passing it over the ion generator and out through the top. You can drop essential oils or room fragrance onto a pad in the base in front of the filter giving a more natural way to fragrance a room.Given the size of this device and the power of the fan I don't think it's going to do much for a larger space, but in a bedroom or office it will work best. The night mode drops the light level enough for sleeping, and although the fan is relatively quiet, I found it too noisy to be placed on a bedside table, but was fine further away. I tried it with some decongestant Olbas oil and it was effective initially, although faded quicker than a hot diffuser (plug in or candle) would. However this would be a lot safer for children or babies rooms.The filter appears like it might remove for replacement, but there was no mention of this in the instructions and I couldn't work out how to remove it. The coarse filter is made from a man-made fibre similar to cotton wool so doesn't seem like it's cleanable, but does seem dense enough to trap particles like pollen and dust. It would be good if you were provided details on where to get new filters from.The device looks smart and isn't too big so it blends in unobtrusively, although not having a battery you will need to locate it close to a power supply.

The media could not be loaded.  An easy to run ioniser. Press a button and it works!I needed this because my bedroom seemed to be a dust magnet. This device removes these particles in the air by attracting them in a way very similar to static electricity. The added bonus is that odours, smells and bacteria in the air are also attracted and stick to the filter leaving your room a little bit fresher and cleaner.I’d say is a large cylindrical device a little bit smaller than a rugby ball. There isn’t very much in terms of operation. One button controls everything. Pressing once turns on the unit and light, press again and the light is on a dimmer light and is set to automatically turn off after 8 hours.So I’ve plugged it in and let it go. There is a soft hum of a fan inside which isn’t distracting. and the light is on gently glowing. I’ll report back if there are any issues, but so far so good. It seems to be working without issue. I’ll get some vanilla extract oil and put a couple of drops in the removable filter to help keep my room smelling fresh.There are a couple of things that I think could improve this.Firstly, there is no plug with this device. So unless you have a USB plug on hand, you might have difficulty in using this, although you could use it via the USB on your PC.Secondly, there is no option to turn off the light completely. You may find it distracting (I don’t) but it would have been nice to have that option.Thirdly I kind of wish it had a built-in timer to auto start and turn off. How often am I supposed to use this? I can’t tell and nothing has been recommended. I guess until I have a completely dust free environment!Lastly, where do I get replacement filters and how often should I change them? There is no information about this and seems that the manufacturer is missing a trick but currently not supplying them.So all in all not too bad, a couple of niggling minor points but overall I’m happily using this in my room.​This product was purchased with a coupon and is my own impartial and honest opinions based on my own personal usage of this product.
