Silicone Ice Cube Tray with Lid

Consistently crystal clear and perfectly solid!
Follow the directions exactly and get perfectly clear ice spheres that last through more than a round...or two...or...whatever your sipping speed might accommodate. They are so clear you sometimes can't see them in the glass at first glance. They don't fit in our smallest glasses but a normal/medium size rocks glass accommodates them nicely. We bought a plastic storage tube and then ordered a second one. Don't leave them in the unit too long or the piece holding the spheres will push up and out, stressing the foam casing and everything else. Also, don't reuse the partially frozen water that's left in the bottom of the container to make the next set of spheres. They will come out bubbly and crack. We've made at least 20 so far, and the only subpar results came when we cut corners.

Magic
As advertised. Crystal clear. Amazing. The instructions say 24 to 30 hours but I seemed to need closer to 48 in the 15 degree range. It says start with warm water, maybe I used too warm, but definitely not hot and straight tap water. Nevertheless, otherwise as advertised. Be warned of the size of the four piece system is maybe a little larger than a traditional, rectangular half gallon ice cream box.Note the second photo is an interrupted cycle, half frozen from the top down. Cool and fun.

REALLY WORKS! PERFECTLY CLEAR ROUND ICE BALLS!
AMAZING!!!! This works amazingly well, better than any other device I have tried! Fill reservoir with hot tap water, slowly immerse rubber form into water, freeze for 24 hours, and VOILA! Sure it takes 24 hours, but do 2 a day for a week, and you have more than enough for a party! If you are spending $50 to $100 on a bottle of Bourbon or Whiskey (or more), invest the $40 to get your own quality ice!

AMAZING!
This works EXACTLY like it says it will. Just made my first ice balls and they are crystal clear. I debated and debated whether to just buy a cheap ice ball maker, but even the pictures have very cloudy balls for the less expensive molds. SO HAPPY I paid the extra money for this mold.

Balls are clear enough to make me satisfied, but way too hard to remove
Maybe mine is defective, but after about 5 uses, it is now nearly impossible to remove the mold from the tray. Something is sticking, the rubber, the ice, unclear, but either I have to let them sit out for 30 minutes first, or I struggle for about 5-10 mins trying to loosen it up before they finally come out. Maybe there is a lubrication instruction that I'm missing? If not, you have to have extremely strong hands to work this device. I might keep for special occasions since the clear ice balls are unique, but if you want to use it more than once a month, find something else.

Quest for clear ice over!
The quest for clear (and inexpensive) ice is over. After over 25 attempts, the mold has never failed to produce two beautiful crystal clear ice spheres that last for hours in my double walled bourbon glass. Following the instructions, I hear the water to 120 F degrees and after 20+ hours the ice is ready to be enjoyed.

Crystal Clear
Produces nice, clear ice spheres. Only complaint is that it is difficult to pull the molds out of the insulating reservoir. Lots of prying around the periphery of the molds eventually frees the molds from the reservoir.

Great Balls of Ice!
So far so good! I've made several clear balls. Remember to use HOT water. They may not come out crystal clear at first but you have to let them sit for at least a 36hrs. They do appear more clear when you pour your drink over them. It also works WAY better than the smaller silicone type trays that are sold at Bed Bath and Beyond, Target and places like that.
