Maradona [DVD]

Most of the other reviews on this documadness hit the spot particularly those of Colin C and Axis. Annoying in parts yet utterly engrossing at others. The film shows the madness of King Maradona, opening him up at points to show his ugly innards. As Colin says it is a little short on footage of the true genius of this idiot-savant but I'm sure there must be other DVD's that cover his career properly. Maradona is as much a product of the abuse he suffered at the hands of coaches, club doctors, agents and advisors as he is of the way he abused himself, Jimmy Burns excellent book The Hand of God covers this and is a real eye opener. I really enjoyed this film and the quirky directing, editing and music add to the entertainment. Highly recommended as much to those that hate the man as to those of us that can't help liking him.

Amazing film, amazing archive and moments. The return to Naples, the music. Great!

A really poor documentary that shows very little footage. It's more about Maradonas political views.
