Purchased this to trim down some carpet for a couple of cupboards. I was a bit sceptical with the price but it seemed to do an ok job. Relatively straight forward to use and it cut the carpet first time, although it was thin carpet. I have a feeling this would possibly struggle with thicker pile carpets. It comes with spare blades but they aren’t the best of quality. Easy to purchase better quality blades if required from Amazon or a DIY store. It’s not a professional grade carpet cutter but for odd jobs it should be ok.

this cutter saved me a lot of time as i had bought new carpet for the bedroom and stairs i cut the stair carpet in under an hour (4 pieces) and i'm 68 with bad knees and was dreading cutting the carpet with a knife so saved time and wear and tear on the knees

Wow, this makes cutting carpets sooo easy! Glad i bought it, saved a load of time and hassle as was cutting carpets and underlay from two large rooms into strips that were small enough to fit in the car to take to the tip. Would have been a pain with a knife.

Not very strong had to revert back to Stanley knife

Very easy to use and it comes with several blades which never needed for this job. Pleased.
