Product Description Simply the Paste The ARCTIC MX-6 is a carbon filler-based thermal paste and reaches its maximum performance without burn-in, directly after application and distribution. It achieves all of this without any reputed ingredients, such as expensive diamond dust or various precious metal particles. The silicone gel used as a carrier enables optimal distribution, which is achieved through even contact pressure, for example when mounting the heat sink. 20% Better Performance With its improved composition, the ARCTIC MX-6 has a measurably lower thermal resistance than the MX-4. We measured the absolute thermal resistance of both pastes on our lab-testing machine, which is much more accurate than a CPU. Two factors are mainly relevant -Conductivity -Minimum Bond Line thickness A lower thermal resistance of the paste leads to a lower temperature difference between CPU and cooler. I decided to purchase this paste to see if it could improve my performance at all and WOW what a difference it made! ~10 degrees cooler under full load was a major improvement and put me to where I expected to be with the cooling solution I chose. The quality of this paste is excellent - it's quite wet so bear that in mind when using it. It is easy to apply thanks to the syringe style applicator and was easily removed with an alcohol wipe when I inevitably made a mistake and had to take the CPU + Cooler assembly apart! Overall, I'm really impressed with this product and I love that you can buy it in this smaller amount - most companies will try and sell you a tube with more than you need which leads to waste (I have managed to lose or accidentally throw away multiple big tubes of thermal paste over the years) so the fact you pay less for a tube with around 3 applications worth is really handy and good value for money, I highly recommend this product!

A: Can not say for sure but used it on a Ryzen 7 and I would guess there might be 3-4 application total. Possibly more.

I used the ARCTIC MX-6 (2g) thermal paste when installing a new CPU cooler and it worked very well. Temperatures improved compared to the stock paste, and everything has stayed stable under load. The paste has a thick consistency, which means it stays in place and spreads properly when you mount the cooler. It’s designed to achieve lower thermal resistance than older versions, helping transfer heat more efficiently. The pressure from the heatsink spreads it evenly, so application is simple even if you’re not very experienced. One thing I like is that it’s non-conductive, so there’s no risk of short circuits if a small amount spreads outside the CPU area. It’s also long-lasting and doesn’t dry out quickly, which means you won’t need to replace it often. The 2g tube is enough for several applications, which makes it good value. I decided to purchase this paste to see if it could improve my performance at all and WOW what a difference it made! ~10 degrees cooler under full load was a major improvement and put me to where I expected to be with the cooling solution I chose.
