It doesn't change to match the weather. Have it sitting in a room away from vents and no direct window light. It has not changed since Christmas, we have had rain, snow. sleet and temperature's in the 20"s to the 70"s . So don't waste your money. I knew it wasn't suppose to predict weather exact but did expect it to change with types of weather and temperature.

It's pretty to look at, but doesn't really tell us anything we don't know. And when it does tell us something we don't know, it's because it's wrong. Storm glass indicates the pressure is falling? Nah, rising. Going to rain? Not a chance.It's still pretty to look at, though

THE ITEM DID NOT COME IN THE PACKAGE AS SHOWN. THE WOODEN PLATFORM DOES NOT HAVE "TIME CAT" ENGRAVED ON IT. .IT SNOWED HERE, HAD FOG, WINDY WEATHER & WE HAD -2* & IT STAYED CLEAR. THERE WERE NO INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED IN PACKAGE.

As far as looks go, it's awesome. It draws attention and adds nicely to the decor. However, drawing attention is now not so much a good thing. I have had this for a month, and I almost cringe when anyone brings it up. It's almost a joke at this point. I was so excited for this product, and it has not changed one bit since the day it arrived. We've had different kinds of weather--extreme cold, warmer temps, sunny and dry, snow, and rain. It does not sit in direct sunlight, nor is it located near a vent. Does anyone have any tips, or can anyone offer any hope?

I purchased this product back in December in hopes that it would be a fun learning tool for my kids. I was truly excited too because we have had some crazy weather recently including snow storms, rain, sunny days, extremely windy days, and today it is warming up. I thought maybe it just needed more time to acclimate and that's why it didn't change, instead of two weeks I gave it 5 weeks. The liquid has done NOTHING!!! I know it is advertised as a novelty item but I feel like it was just a gamble with my money and I'm ready to throw it away. I have included a photo of it today doing nothing meanwhile I can hear thunder.

I'm giving this three stars because, aesthetically, this is beautiful sitting on my coffee table and it arrived in a very timely manner. However, it does not do what it's advertised to do. Not even close. I have had it for 4 months now and the storm glass hasn't once matched what the weather outside is doing. Read a bunch of reviews on the storm glass, and a lot of people were saying what I am right now, so I guess it's my own fault. Maybe there's a better quality one out there somewhere.

I bought this for a present for my daughter. I was really quite disappointed. It really doesn't work at all. So if you're expecting it to work as described you're wasting your money. However it is pretty so I did give it 2 stars for that reason.

Came well packaged and arrived without any issues. At first I was skeptical given all of the critical reviews, and I genuinely wasn't expecting it to do anything. I've been hit by come cold weather and some snow and it is legitimately growing crystals and changing each day the weather changes drastically. Mine works and it's pretty cool.
