Wattlite Strip Light, 6 W, White, 1 Count (Pack of 1)

Decent cabinet lights, I bought these as 'like for like' replacements for a couple of faulty units. A mains cable (without plug) is included in the pack (unneeded in my case) together with a short extension lead to allow two or more lights to be 'daisy-chained' (up to a maximum 100 watts if I remember correctly). You can choose between an extension lead or a joining plug, one of each is included with each light (I have three butted together in this manner). Two types of bracket are included to allow wall or ceiling mounting. Some masking tape helps to hold the lights in place if you wish to mark out holes. One issue is the colour temperature of the supplied flourescent bulbs (3500K) which I found a little harsh, but that is a matter of personal choice. I bought a pack of 2700k T5 bulbs from ebay.

The fact that the screw positions are not fixed is a huge asset.

Item arrived very quickly and I was amazed how thin the box was. The reason it was so thin is it didn't come with a mains plug. I'm very surprised that this being an electrical item doesn't come with a plug as standard and think it's the first time I've had to hunt for a plug.The light itself is quite bright, but not too bright and as of yet I haven't noticed it getting hotter when it's been on for a while.I didn't use the brackets and screws to put it up as I may decide to move it at some point so I used double sided tape and so far so good :o)

I was having difficulty getting the correct length replacement lamps for my original fittings. It was easier and cheaper to swap the fittings, Quite easy if you're ok with a little DIY BUT otherwise get a qualified electrician - more cost but safer. (I am qualified).Easy to fit and operate well.

This light fitting had less than 2 hours of use before it stopped working. Ordered a replacement which arrived quickly and pleased to say that this has now been fitted for around 6 weeks and is used every day with no further problems so far.

Bought two of these for under kitchen cupboards ,as the ones I had need replacing ,there a fantastic buy ,much more expensive looking ,very slim well made and easy to fit ,nice and bright ,much brighter than my old ones ,only took me minutes to do ,all I had to do was screw the two fixing plates under the cupboard and add a plug ,comes with a good long flex also ,I will be buying more to replace my other lights now ,as there a really good buy ,I recommend them very much .and great delivery also ,

A good little light. As bright as the previous 30w strip-light, which is now obsolete and can no longer obtain spare bulbs. The switch is a little small and fiddly to find, but only because it is in a different position to the previous one. I am sure it will be fine when I get used to it.

It has two faults one important one not so much. I put a plug on it and yes it works and is what I wanted, however the fitting on the cable which plugs into the end of the light just keeps falling out - this does not seem to be the right cable for this light but I can tape it to the fitting when I decide where to put it - still sorting kitchen. the second is a design fault, the switch on the light fitting is too small and fiddly but I can live with it.
