This TurboTenna is a 2.4GHz booster WiFi antenna designed to work with your desktop computer or laptop via a USB connection. No wall mounting is needed because it comes with the Aluminium tripod with extendable legs. This allows you to set it up easily by simply pointing the antenna towards the direction of the signal source. It is Plug n Play with Windows 10 and most Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, KALI, Wifislax, Arch Linux and Raspberry Pi. Most public hotpots in the streets and restaurants and home routers running 802.11n (Wi-Fi 4) and the latest 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) have excellent compatibility with this antenna. However, a few 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5) routers are set to 5.8GHz by factory default – in such a case simply enable the 2.4GHz band on the router and you’ll be fine. The antenna is slim and handy thanks to a new RF circuity design that packs the amplifier and digital filter into a compact housing with the interface of a sturdy USB connector. The performance will be undermined without having the signal tuned to match the impedance antenna BALUN dipole driver that translates into distance and speeds beyond most low-price extender and repeater. What’s more exciting is that the CnSR Upgrade Kit (Optional to be purchased separately) is now available to share the power of this antenna with your APPLE macbook, iphone and Andriod phone over the air.

Blown away by its strength!
I was a little skeptical at first, I had seen these on TV shows and all over amazon and another popular competitor.I spend a lot of my time living off grid and wifi is always challenging, especially if you are trying to avoid having to go over to a fast food restaurant or coffee shop. The turbo Tennant arrived and I was impressed with its compact design, it looks bugger in the pictures so u was pleasantly surprised to learn it was nice and small. It came with a CD rom of drivers to install on computers including visa through to win 10. I'm afraid I'm not aware if it is compatible on MAC OS.I installed the drivers took it outside and pointed it across the river where I was staying and picked up about 20-25 different connections. One of which happened to be somebody's that we know haha. A quick phone call to tell him his wifi was unsecured went down well.Baring in mind this wifi router was situated approximately 1.5 km away and we where getting nearly 90% signal strength was incredible. We later drove to the seafront where I pointed the turbotenna at a restaurant situated about a mile away, 80% signal strength...incredible.I was also happy to find the the mini tripod it comes with also has extendable legs, gently pull the little black feet and you will see them double in size.Very fun and very handy but of kit. 5 stars from me.Thanks!

Non-functional
Followed the instructions to the letter and cannot connect. Emailed and contacted via twitter with no response. As it stands it seems like I have been robbed so will be returning it if I don't get a response soon. Turns out its been falsely advertised. I'll update if and when they get back to me.Update: Still no response from Danets despite emailing literally every department they have. Seems to me that if they were a legitimate company they'd be happy to give me the instructions Ive requested. Would lower my rating but apparently cannot go below one star. This product deserves zero. Do not buy.

Extends range. Needs strengthening.
Greatly extends wifi range compared to a laptop's internal wifi. The white plastic box on the aerial is not very well attached. There is only a double-sided sticky pad holding it on. Moving the USB lead around dislodges the box and thus stresses the connection to the aerial. I would recommend some plastic cable ties around the plastic box and aerial boom, or some rubber bands twisted tight.

Glad I bought it
Bought mainly to watch TV programmes while camping in my camper van. I'm still getting to grips with it but it is a great improvement on the standard antenna inside a laptop. I don't think it's compatible with iPads or android tablets though.

Brilliant for use in caravans
What this item achieves is fantastic, I managed to pick up wifi signals across town which is definitely a few miles. The quality of the product could be better as the USB inputs were very loose and flimsy and I was extremely scared of breaking it. I can recommend for use in caravans as you can use it to get free Wi-Fi from public locations

Works fine if you bothered to read the manual.
I have had my antennae for almost a decade and it still works flawlessly. Staggered by the one star reviews, the only conclusion I can make is that the people leaving them are spoon-fed idiots who expect things to work out of the box with no attempt to understand how it works. Works great as per all of the good reviews. Also plug and play with Kali Linux and supports monitor mode, if you know you know.
