Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Wireless Surround Sound Gaming Headset - Xbox One

I have used far cheaper Turtle Beach headphones in the past for use on my PS4 Pro, and they have always been good enough. However, I wanted to get something a bit more special, particularly as I do sometimes spend long periods of time using the PS4. My current TB headphones were only about £25 and whilst they were okay, I found that the sound quality wasn’t that great. So I decided to treat myself to a premium pair of headphones, and I opted for these, as my friend’s teenage son uses them and loves them.My first impressions when I took them out of the box were vary good. The headphones were quite weighty for their size but I guessed that was due to the internal battery and electronics. These not only look neat but they are also vary comfortable. They fit over the ears rather than on them, which is, in my opinion, a lot more comfortable. There’s. A lot of thick padding on the ears and on the underside of the headstrap.When you turn the headphones on out of the box you’ll find that the internal rechargeable battery cells are already charged, and also already paired to the usb dongle that you plug into one of the USB slots of your PS4. So literally, all you have to do is plug the usb dongle into your PS4, put the headphones on and press the power button on the left ear piece. A manly voice tells you “Power on” and immediately you hear the sounds from your PS4. There is a mode button next to the power button which, when quickly pressed, gives you the following mode options:Bass BoostBass and treble boostVocal boostSignature sound (which I guess is the default)Holding the mode button down for a longer press toggles the “Superhuman Hearing” mode on, which enhances even the quietest sounds.A quick press and release of the power button toggles Surround SoundA press and hold of the power button turns the headset on/off.The sound from these headphones is fantastic.The microphone stick that swivels up and down. When you swivel it down you hear a beep, telling you the microphone is live. Unlike my other TB headphones, which only puts the voice of whoever you’re talking to in one ear, on this headset the voice of the caller is in both ears. Swivelling the microphone stick upwards turns the microphone off, and again you’ll hear a beep.The left ear also has two volume controls, one for the sound and one for microphone volume. Just be aware though that if you turn the microphone volume up it also increase the sensitivity, which means you will also start to hear you’re voice in your ears. However, I prefer this as it’s another indicator as to whether your microphone is live or not. I was playing Elite Dangerous today and speaking to my 11-year-old nephew who also plays it. I could hear his little voice quite clearly over the game sounds. However, what I like with the PS4 is that, if you wish, you can go into the console settings and choose to have either “All audio” (game sounds and chat sounds) going into your headphones, or you can have chat only, which plays the game sounds through your TV and the speakers voice into your headphones.So, though these headphones are quite pricey, you definitely get what you pay for. If you are looking at getting your pre-teen/teenage son a pair of good quality headphones for use on his PS4 for gaming purposes, for Christmas or his birthday (or just as a treat as he’s been a good boy xD ) then you won’t go far wrong with these. He’ll be delighted with them.I fully recommend these headphones.

I'm not sure what isn't to like about these. Soon as they arrived, which wasn't very long after ordering I had to try them out. They came well packaged to prevent any damage occurring and were in 100% in great condition. Once unpacked and a quick flick through the set up guide just to familiarise myself with the connection process it was full steam ahead. These little beauties came pre charged so I could dive straight into my game to test them out. A little adjustment with the headband and boom, fit like a glove, the head band itself is very well cushioned and the the curvature of it makes it very comfortable. The controls are placed with accessibility in mind and are easy to use while in the game, the fold down microphone is a great feature if your just playing on your own so you can pop it back and its out of the way. The sound quality is fantastic, you are submerged in the game from the off, there are different sound graphics you can use to adjust to your style of play. The super human sound is fantastic, you can literally hear anything or anyone even if they are approaching from behind. The quality of sound is amazing, you can hear an ant fart from 50 paces in downwind which is a bonus feature when playing any strategical game. Would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a great quality and very well priced gaming headset.

Superb audio quality.I wear glasses and was skeptical about the comfort claim due to experience with other headsets that make similar claims. The comfort claim for glasses is well-founded, These are very comfortable with glasses and fit snugly around the ear. They also hold my glasses while I'm excited about gaming and getting animated. So my glasses stay in place and don't slip at all.The range is great, if you are watching TV or a movie via the Xbox One and go the the kitchen for a beer, the headset still works. (My house isn't huge so be realistic)The headset gets audio from the xbox directly so if you are hard of hearing you can wear the headset and have your own volume while others get their audio from the TV as per normal - but you cant hear them talking due to noise canceling. This is good or bad depending on if you want to listen to people talking or listen to the movie. You decide.Great control to balance audio signals from gaming to party chat online with 2 independent volume controls to set your own levels.The build quality is superb, very robust and very solid build.

Bought this for ps4 gaming. Amazing sound quality. Mic quality is great! Also good if you want to watch Netflix on your ps4 while another person is sleeping next to you 🤗 fit is very comfortable.

I bought these for my 8 year old son who is an avid gamer (like many hours a day). I happened to "borrow" them for a few days (while I happened to be playing Far Cry Primal) so I could test them out and the results were great. They are PLENTY loud, so if volume is your concern these will cover you. They are actually so loud I had to turn them down to about 90% to avoid discomfort, but I am protective of my ears as well. As far as comfort goes they are GREAT. The weird swivel design on the cans made me cautious but it turns out they are significantly more durable and comfortable than any of the other headsets I have shelled out for the last few years (and there have been quite a few pair of them under the bridge!). They cover the entire ear and sit lightly on the top f the head. I wore them for about 8 hours straight several days in a row with zero agitation or problem. Also the battery life is plenty long for extended sessions. We charge it at night when we turn off the system for the day and they never seem to run out. They did die on me once, but I was using them for a few days before that without recharging, so a good long life. The microphone is the biggest winner for me, tat flip up and off design is FANTASTIC and its not a cheap mic that gets all bent and weird after a few weeks of real use. It stays clean and just disappears when unwanted. When it is down in the on position, it sounds just fine. As far as I'm concerned, there isn't a gaming headset mic that doesn't sound like a tinny piece of garbage of you actually are concerned with "sound quality". As far as mics go, this one ranks as well as any of them. Also the dedicated volume control for the mic is a nice feature (beyond just on/off). Now when that one friend who doesn't understand the concept of audible etiquette starts blaring in your ear, you can just roll them down. Worth every penny I spent.

Upgraded to this from recon 50's that I'd had for two years or so, mainly for the "glasses friendly" feature. Arrived yesterday and I'm super happy. Didn't really appreciate how good cordless is, and the sound is on another level by far. I find them comfy, light weight and secure. They don't feel like a toy (like the last ones did), nor did they squeak like many reviews complained. They remained solid on my head for three hours of racing and didn't get at all sweaty.Bearing in mind that this is the least expensive cordless PS4 compatible headset you can buy, fancier packaging at a higher cost would be a bad tradeoff. Works great out of the box with no surprises!
