Watershot wsip6 – 001 – Case for Apple iPhone 6/6S

U previously used a GoPro session, but without a screen to frame the shot it was basically hit and miss... and also the wide angle of the go pro made everything too far to really enjoy.With this frame and the great controls it affords you can truly frame the shot underwater and the quality is fantastic, my friends were all asking what I used to take my films, they were flabbergasted in hearing it was just my "puny" iPhone 6... check out my video!Sole gripe (but it is not a real minus) is that the seller advertises this as the 6 buttons version, while it is the 5 buttons one... which hardly makes a difference to be honest, just set the app for it and you won't need the extra button (which is said will serve "future features").I also bought a magenta filter, but did not use it yet as I was snorkelling on the surface and the colour of the water was not that problematic. Maybe get a floating band if you are afraid of losing it into the depths.

Used it on holiday and opened and closed it several times between dives and iphone was fine. Pictures were fairly clear and as good as cold be expected. We didn't download or use the app, just turned it on camera mode and turn off sleep mode and used it like that. Used it up to probably 2m deep so suppose didn't really test it too much. Would recommend.

As promoted new and a quality product

Some reviewers refer to not being able to zoom (download a licence for this feature - costs about $ 3.00 per year), or colours not being right (buy zoom lense / filters / light) - so these people haven’t read the very easy to follow instructions. A great piece of kit!! Example - first snap taken in Crete in basic kit before extras purchased. Enjoy!

Rubbish. Can't zoom; if goes off camera app to main screen can't get it back. I had to resurface and fiddle around opening the case, eventually soaking my phone and destroying it (!).The photos I got on earlier dives were rubbish. I guess I learnt the hard way that an smartphone is never going to give use the functions needed (white balance etc) to get good underwater shots. Never again, back to a proper camera and housing next time I purchase.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Did exactly what I wanted it to do. Used to 18 meters depth and easy to use. I no professional by any means but happy with the results and can’t wait to try it in clearer waters like the Red Sea! Very easy to use. Pressed wrong buttons a couple of times but was easy to get back to the app underwater.Battery life lasted 2 45 minute dives without issue on brightest screen setting.
