That they are actually effective and they do remain so for several uses
I have bought Lakeland Magic Balls before and was very pleased hence I ordered them again. However this time around I have used them on my large ships decanter and although finally successful it was quite an arduous task.Also they arrived in a jiffy envelope which had a hole in and the small glass base of the container within had been smashed so they promptly started falling through the hole and I had to chase about one third of the meniscus balls, bouncing all over my wood floors before I could begin the cleaning process!! This may be the carriers fault though rather than Lakeland as I have ordered from them down the years and their packaging is usually second to none.

Well worth it if you use a decanter for red wine.
Work well. Don't tackle the very toughest red wine stains to the point that they are 100% removed but has vastly improved the appearance of wine decanters and vases.

Did exactly what they were meant for. Just swill them around with some water and the jobs done.

Save them from the plug hole !
Love these balls for cleaning the vases but find it tricky to catch the balls when draining without loosing them down the plug hole ! Could do with a little catch bag !
