Very descriptive and knowledgeable
Very thorough, it explains everything in detail so things that I didn't understand before now make so much sense.Different exercises and different ways to learn.I couldn't recommend this book more. If you want to learn Turkish you NEED this book
****
excellent
Everything is logically laid out, very well explained. Its easy to follow and does not offend your intelligence. It has a good amount of exercises to get you thinking about the grammar and memorise words. The Turkish used in the book is Turkish used in the country (as confirmed by my Turkish boyfriend), which is more than a lot of language books can claim to do. So if you want a hassle-free way of teaching yourself the basics before going out there - this book is a must!

really excellent book for a beginner in Turkish
I love this book. To learn a language you need the right materials to suit you and this one was perfect for me. Right amount of grammar and vocab with each lesson and its arranged so its easy enough to understand. After just studying the first chapter a few times I was able to say quite a lot of things when on holiday in Turkey. I highly recommend this book for travellers and people planning to stay in Turkey longer term ts an excellent resource.

although a good pronunciation guide
A clear well laid out introduction to Turkish for serious learners. The exercises and cultural comments were helpful and I found it worked well alongside Youtube lessons as the audio material, although a good pronunciation guide, was at times not very engaging. A good buy over all.

Fine but several mistakes
This book is okay in its style and way of teaching...But there are several mistakes which can make it difficult or confusing for beginners, including the alphabet. I have had to double check with my Turkish husband on several different occasions for the correct meaning or way to say things.

At home with Turkish
This book is very well designed with each chapter divided into short, easily understood sections, with clear examples and short exercises. It is also informative about various aspects of Turkish life e.g. different restaurants ad foods, customs and famous places.I find the course easy to comprehend, fascinating and enjoyable.Jayse.
