You have to try to believe how amazing this stuff is.
Firstly, I have to emphasise this stuff is amazing!Tip one, don't use a plastic bowl!! I learnt the hard way and has the heat melted the plastic, it bonded with the bowl!Tip two, don't tip half the tub in thinking it won't make much, how wrong was I.My mums dog has the equivalent of human 'drop foot', you have no function in the muscles and therefore unable to lift your foot.I wanted to make a brace (after many failed 'material types'). I decided to copy what I have for my drop foot but in a miniature size.I first made cloth templates, and when the plastic had become 'goo', I laid the template on to the plastic and milder as needed and cut all the excess away (plastic needs to be in still a mouldable state).I drilled some holes for hinges, really simple to do and my faithful Velcro to attach padding and managed to copy my brace.I used to be a Velcro nut but have to say, this is my new found love. The possibilities in creating things is endless and I'm abit of a creator.

Awesome for repairs
Bought a tub of this stuff partly to repair a broken shower pole bracket, and partly because I wanted to experiment with it. It's actually really fantastic: you put some of the pellets in boiling water and within seconds they go clear and can be molded into shape. It's quite hard to get detailed shapes out of it: it took me some time and several failed attempts to fabricate a replacement shower bracket, but the stuff is good fun and sets into something resembling nylon in its rigidity and hardness. The only problem I have with it is, when soft, it tends to be a little too malleable: it's hard to get a tight fit around things and as soon as it starts to set it's very hard to work with. But it's definitely a good product to have in the cupboard with the glue and other repair materials.

Brilliant stuff for emergency repairs and odd jobs.
This stuff is fantastic! In my excitement I ignored the warning about boiling water and promptly scalded a finger, but beyond that found the product to live up to its marketing promises. The resulting plastic is very very tough, with a slight flex to it - I'd say quite similar to cast nylon (Though obviously with very different thermal constraints.) You cannot sand the finished mouldings at all well, so if you want to tidy up the finish you can either pare it down with a sharp knife (It's quite tough, so make sure you use a sharp knife...) or use heating tooling to fix up the surface finish.I've popped a small pouch of it in my camera kit for on-set fixup jobs, as it's very easy to store and sets up much faster than, say, Sugru.

Making stuff is super easy
Used to make devil horns for a last minute Halloween costume - this stuff is incredibly versatile. After I mounded the shape I painted with acryllic and sealed with a matte clear coat.

Novelty fun
Only bought for the novelty, but it's super fun pulling it out of hot water and shaping it. Just make sure the water is hot enough to work but not so hot you end up with less skin than you started with. A bowl of ice water helps to set it fast, it can be a bit floppy if left to cool normally. Loads of vids on YouTube for ideas.

Brilliant stuff!
I bought this primarily to make customised cutlery handles for my wife who is disabled and finds it difficult to hold conventional cutlery. This worked brilliantly within half an hour of receiving the package! I'm sure I shall find thousands of uses for this stuff 😊

0 waste and reuse while you are prototyping
I came across this product / material while searching for ways to build an inexpensive prototype. You can use it for artistic purposes but with a little more effort and learning / experimenting you can also use it for precision mechanical / engineering along with other materials like aluminium and wood. I love the fact that it gets really though afterwards but you can play with different thicknesses and still be able to cut through it and use nails and screws effectively with it, for example I was able to produce hand made nuts for strange bolts measures with great results! Also the 0 waste and reuse while you are prototyping are just F****** YEAHH!! :D

Amazing stuff! Bought for the missus who loves crafts ...
Amazing stuff! Bought for the missus who loves crafts and such like. That said, I've found myself using some to do odd little repair jobs around the house, including replacing a light pull in the utility room. I rent my house, so am not going to buy a new pull and leave it there when this does the job even better. I will no doubt be ordering again soon as the missus keeps finding more and more craft uses for it.
