Easy to use and never fails
Hooray - barbecues are quickly and reliably lit by this chimney. Paper in the bottom half, charcoal in the top, apply a light and away you go. Brilliant

Good little device, if used safely
This product is a quick way to start your bbq. There are no instructions with it, but I had already watched a YouTube video on how to use it. I used old egg cartons in the bottom part and, once they were lit, it wasn't long before the bbq was going. My only real concern is the top part doesn't hold as much charcoal as is needed for our bbq. It also gets very hot, so you need somewhere safe to put it down to cool. Basically, be careful, use your common sense.

Great product works really well
Great product works really well. Avoid newspaper underneath as this creates lots of ash. Use a couple of firelighters instead.

Not the same as the pictures
It's a good size but not in pressed as it came with a cheaply made wood handle and had holes in the bottom like the picture but no holes in the middle as shown in the pictures

A badly-made product supported by even worse customer service (which they finally redeemed)
This device managed to complete all of 2 barbecues before its bottom fell out during only its third outing from garage to garden. Consequently (and within a month of buying it) I applied for a return/refund. The 'Magic Toy Shop' seller blindly closed (effectively denied) my request within the hour on the grounds that 'Buyer has not taken reasonable care'; not sure how they could dream that up, let alone justifying such a response. They certainly and very blatantly disregarding our consumer legislation which is 100% behind anyone who buys an item unfit for its intended usage purpose. Hence I will win this but feel their attitude deserves the wider publicity that a factual review will give it, while we argue this out, to save anyone else making my mistake. I cannot see Amazon standing for this kind of cynical and shoddy trading on their platform by the (not in any way) Magic Toy Shop; a name worth remembering, albeit for selling cheaply-made rubbish and then trying to breach consumer law.Edit: (In the interest of fair play)Several hours on and the Magic Toy Shop responded to my scathing email by asking for a picture, so I duly sent them the one we used for the review. Another hour on and they emailed to say that they had issued a full refund and they did not want the item sending back.Would they have rolled over so quickly if I hadn't left them in any doubt that I was aware of my strong position under UK consumer law and called their bluff on their first 'not taken reasonable care' stance?Everyone gets it wrong from time to time but it's how you deal with it when that happens that people will judge you on. How much more sensible would it have been to respond correctly in the first place and avoid a damning review?Right, that's far too much time spent going on about a tenners worth of tin. Moving on.....

Overall OK
Item arrived damaged, and looks different to the picture as used to sell, however I will continue to use it.
