ObsidianWire Traditional Vintage 60's Pro-Wired Electronics for Les Paul® are a pop in replacement for your old Gibson® Les Paul® wiring harness and a perfect upgrade to the stock factory wiring. Best of all, these are super easy to install, and allow for unlimited solder-less pickup changes with ObsidianWire Plug, Play and Enjoy connectors. To make your tone crystal clear at lower volumes we also include an ObsidianWire Custom Spec Treble Bleed Mod. This prevents tone 'muddiness' at low volumes by allowing high frequencies to pass along a separate path to your amp, rather than being stopped short by the increasing resistance at the volume control. We build ObsidianWire Pro-Wired Electronics using the world’s best craftsmanship and components: 4 x Premium Selected CTS Split Shaft Pots 500k (+/-6%) (Matched to +/-2%) (Long Shaft with extra nuts can be used with long shaft or short shaft guitars) 1 x Genuine Switchcraft Short Toggle Switch (Pre-Wired for use in Gibson® Les Pauls® + Epiphone® Les Pauls® with a little modification) 2 x NOS Russian Cold War Era K42Y-2 PIO Capacitor (0.022uf) (Hand Tested to +/-10%) 1 x Genuine Switchcraft J11 Mono Output jack 1 x Pre Printed & Easy to Follow Wiring Diagram 1 x Endless Customer Support COMPATIBILITY ObsidianWire Pro-Wired Electronics for Les Paul, are designed to be a direct fit for American Gibson® Les Pauls®. They can also be used and are a great upgrade for Epiphone Les Pauls. Please note that for Epiphones you will need to widen the holes in the body for the higher grade, US spec electronics and get new 24 spline knobs to fit. Attempting to use your old metric knobs will damage your new Pro-Wired Electronics.

Great Kit!
Such a great product. After many years, I finally had to admit to myself that I can’t solder if my life depended on it. After burning out many volume and tone pots I decided to rewire my oldest LP with this kit. After he instructions were a bit lacking, but once I figured a few things out I was done in no time. The components are high quality and put together well. After sound of my guitar improved greatly. The note separation is very clear on dense chords and the neck pickup is much more usable to me. I can’t wait to use these kits on my other guitars.

Does not fit Epiphone Les Paul as advertised
Bought this for a 2000 Epiphone LP Classic. I have modified this guitar before and added US - spec hardware, so I have already opened up the holes for the pots. This assembly just would not fit this guitar. Not even close enough to open up the holes a little more and make it fit. On top of this, the return process is a pain; having to take it to a drop-off rather than being picked up like nearly every Amazon return I've ever encountered.

Great product but beware, doesn't fit EPI SG
This product is awesome and easy to use. I have one for my strat and love it. However, i purchased one thats suppose to fit LPs for my SG. Never would I have guessed it didn't fit the SG but it doesn't, its too wide.

ObsidianWire rig, very impressive!
If you are considering up grading or experimenting with your pickups and/or electronics, consider this pre-rigged harness. I wanted a top end rig that would be easy for me to switch pickups in a Les Paul Studio, meaning, not wanting to solder and unsolder pots to the point of destroying the internal resistor membrane. It did the trick. The rig drops into a standard Gibson pot hole setup. (Note; this rig will probably not work in off shore Les Paul copies. It’s designed for Gibson spacing specifications.) All leads and wires either push/click in or screw in. This makes switching pickups literally a snap. To top it all off, the kit comes with a prewired SwitchCraft 3 way switch, a prewired output jack and built in treble bleed circuit (Why doesn’t every guitar come with a treble bleed circuit these days?). It’s a deal when you add up all the parts that come with the kit. So, if you are building a guitar, wanting to try out different pickups or simply thinking of an upgrade, consider the ObsidianWire rig. I’m impressed. I think you will be too.
