I bought this to use with my MackBook Air and it's perfect. Just plug in the usb connector and away you go. No extra software needed. The blue light is also the eject button. Very fast, no noise once the disc is loaded. Haven't tried burning anything to it yet but did export some music to my iTunes and again...perfect. Slim and very portable. Drive error message suggested to try slower speeds and that didn't work either; and says it's not compatible with the disks.Finding a reliable Mac OSX compatible usb 3.0 burner is not easy...Prior to returning the drive I did test the same brand disks on two other different brands of dvd burner.
